What evidence of dirt gathering do you have? Maybe I missed something but I've seen no evidence that any dirt was gathered at this meeting.
Donald Trump Jr. made several misleading statements about the meeting.[3] He initially told the press that the meeting was held to discuss adoptions of Russian children by Americans. On July 8, 2017, After news reports stated that Trump Jr. knew the meeting was political, he admitted in a tweet that he had agreed to the meeting with the understanding that he would receive information damaging to Hillary Clinton, and that he was conducting opposition research.[4] When the New York Times was about to report on email exchanges between Rob Goldstone and Trump Jr., Trump Jr. himself admitted that Rob Goldstone had stated in an email to him that the Russian government was involved and that the purpose of the meeting was to get "dirt on Clinton" and that the meeting concerned "Russian effort to aid (Trump) campaign"[5] and .[6] In early July 2017 allegations surfaced that President Donald Trump himself drafted Trump Jr.'s initial misleading statement.

So the fact that both political parties pay millions of dollars for oppo respearch every single election somehow doesn’t count as “a thing of value”...
All trump had to do to either make it legal or atleast avoid breaking the law was report that he did collude with the Russians..
Something he can’t do because even he knew it was shady as hell..
Please explain the rules because it looks to me like you are interpreting clearly defined laws incorrectly.
How about you answer
- Who let them into the country?
- What was exchanged?
- Who is Christopher Steele?
- What is his relationship to the DNC, Perkins Cole and the FBI?

Steele was a foreigner just like the russians. ANYONE who accepts help of non americans as you describe should be in jail if you honestly feel that way.
Steele was a contractor employed by a US Company.
Not the same as THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT.

It is also indisputably a direct and illegal act of working with a Foreign Government to benefit a US Presidential Campaign.
So hillary and the DNC are guilty?
Seriously? No wonder you don't have any idea what you are talking about. If you "have seen no evidence" that DTJr was doing looking for dirt, you have been in a coma for the last 18 months at least.
Pretence at ignorance does nothing when you are in a discussion on the internet because people can look things up and call you out.
Willful ignorance is never a good look, especially when you are trying to defend the indefensible.
