Canada looks a lot like France to me.........France, great country if it were not for the French.

But honestly, we don't feel superior to Americans, we just don't get their gun lust. Different cultures. I also don't get the Canada/ France comparison. Two totally different cultures with different political ideals.

I see it as a right being lost.


It could be guns, speech, whatever.

Here we see owning firearms as a right. You don't HAVE to have one. You just have the freedom to have one if you so choose.


I feel bad for any culture, any country that embraces the loss of any right.

We just don't really care (the majority) about handguns/high powered guns etc. Everyone I know in Canada owns a rifle for hunting/nuisance animals, etc.

Yes we do, though it's hard to tell when someone is being funny sometimes.

Anyway, I doubt anything is going to change, there are plenty of gun owners here.

No. We had that stupid gun registry for a few years. It failed. We just didn't participate. I didn't. There's another difference between the two nations. We don't fear our government. They really can't push the populous around to any extent either.
