Governor Jerry Brown must allow the Free Flow of the vast amounts of water coming from the North and foolishly being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Can be used for fires, farming and everything else. Think of California with plenty of Water - Nice! Fast Federal govt. approvals.
Diverting fresh water from public use in a state severely affected by drought is a criminal offense, IMO.
How is this even allowed in the first place? You're right, its absolutely maddening! I'd be highly pissed if I lived in CA!
Delta Smelt is the given excuse to suffocate. It appears DJT has given the word that this is over as far as the Feds are concerned. My guess, the EPA has been given the stand down on this and why is mentioned. It'd be HUGE.
"California has a new endangered species on its hands in the San Joaquin Valley—farmers. Thanks to environmental regulations designed to protect the likes of the three-inch long delta smelt, one of America's premier agricultural regions is suffering in a drought made worse by federal regulations." From 2009 link
From 2018 "These fish are at the heart of California's water debate." Link
Understand that this has been the system of excuse to impose draconian measures over and over again. Astro turf "save the fish" campaigns. Crying over the death of the fish, demand people shower two minutes a day. Demand people conserve, the raise prices because the conserve too much. Then encourage folks to grow RICE, RICE is CA, RICE!!!!!!!
The larger picture is control, not protection. When the controllers state that animals and fish are more important then you, they are serious. This is not about managing things harmoniously, that's a separate issue. This is about making sure the population knows the are expendable and less important then fish.

California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren’t allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized. It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Must also tree clear to stop fire spreading!
