I stumbled on your post when I woke up this morning, and had some time to reflect on the symptoms that are of a concern to you in current times. It's always a tough scenario when having to think of these things without the help of the medical community, as it can be quite difficult to know the specific cause of so many ailments.

My first area of concern for you is within your digestion system, as I estimate that 70% of ALL ailments stems from a conflict within the digestion system. Being that the digestion system can cause so much havoc on other internal systems and you specifically stating some acute digestion symptoms I would like you to read a bit more into taking CBD extracts in suppository format... at the least daily for a bit so you can get an idea if any symptom improvement comes as a result.

I am also going to link a video here... about a genius of a man who is working with Mycelium to act as medicines that pinpoint our defects without the aid of science being made responsible to pinpoint the possible cause(s) of concern for you or anyone really. Not only is Paul Stamlet saving lives with mushrooms, but he likely found that mycelium is causing the bee populations to suffer as well. The story of his mother and turkey tail mushrooms is purely astonishing, and I hope you find some relief and healing from suffering as well.

I think my brother had, or has that.

Always heartburn, and first the doctors told him it was something of flap that didn't close properly.

After much suffering however, it turned out it's some bacteria in the gut.

I had the same symptoms, they got worse over time. Finally found out I had a stricture in my intestine. Go get a colonoscopy to check for it. Surgery cures it. I'm 100% normal now, can eat as much as I want.

How often and how much do you exercise? Like, really exercise?

Does your job require physical labor, or sitting? Are you active?

Aside from the "see a specialist" advice, all I can offer is the idea of a system cleanse followed by probiotics. I've done the 1-week cleanse, drinking mostly juices (horrible tasting juices of leafy greens and herbs, not sweet fruit juices) and tons of water while taking supplements that aid in basically killing whatever is growing in your body. I wouldn't be shocked if you've got a candida overgrowth which has choked out all of the beneficial gut bacteria in your body. That would explain feeling bloated quickly after eating any carbs. I'd even consider taking a few drops of oil of oregano a few times a day while doing the cleanse, that stuff is death incarnate on candida. You will feel like absolute crap 3 or 4 days into this process... curiously, that's how you'll know it's working. When you have a major candida die-off (mostly because you're starving them) they will release some gnarly toxins into your system causing you to feel like you have a really bad case of the flu. You may even get hives, take a Benedryl and stay strong. You'll have a second die-off a few days later (the dead candida will serve as food for a smaller new bloom in your body, as long as you continue the cleanse of drinking leafy greens juice and water, no actual food, that bloom will starve out fairly quickly,) After the week long cleanse is complete, start taking double doses of acidophilous pro biotics and introduce some small portions of lean meat and solid veggies into your diet slowly for week 2. By the end of that week, you should find your appetite is healthy and your system is reset. Try to avoid sweets and simple carbs as much as possible after that... they're superfood for candida sufferers. It seems to be a genetic thing, some folks are more sensitive to and susceptible to candida overgrowth, but you're describing a pretty bad case of it.

When you were lifting, if you were taking too many supplements, any antibiotics, even some NSAIDs, you likely weakened your natural gut flora and that's when candida becomes a major problem.

Hiya MBTM, I’m so sorry you’re not well. Just chiming in to suggest that you may have a hiatal hernia that occasionally becomes strangulated. Get to a gastroenterologist asap. I’ll say a prayer for you my friend.

BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

I'm so sorry to shout like that, but there is a lot of 'conflicting' advice (all good advice, but possibly dangerous mixed together) happening in the thread, and I wanted to get your attention...

I think the most urgent thing is to make certain there is nothing physically wrong with your digestive track, so x-rays of your intestines to make certain there are no obstructions or twists in the bowels should be done a.s.a.p. -

- the reason I stress this is because a lot of the advice you are getting for digestion problems (such as parasite cleanses, certain antacids, etc.) could actually cause you even more 'damage' if you have some sort of bowel obstruction...

Also, x-rays of your digestive system should include an endoscopy, which can rule out such things as celiac disease..

***I believe there was an EMT who posted about having a back injury which caused digestive issues due to nerve damage - this is the one that made my 'gut' give me the 'mmm, hhmm - that sounds about right' feeling.

Whatever the issue may be, it doesn't sound like something you can afford to 'fool around' with - if you were my husband, I'd already have made an appointment with a Gastroenterologist

Take care, and please let us know what you find out..

***Edit: I'm mistaken - the EMT posted about diverticulitis...

...
HOWEVER (Sorry to shout again), your symptoms sound exactly like something called:

"Intestinal Pseudo-obstruction" (I just now looked it up), which is basically what I described above - a medical condition where 'something' (whether injury, disease, or genetics) causes a disruption in the part of the nervous system which tells the intestines 'what to do'...

You'll probably think I'm nuts, but for what it's worth -
- Years ago there was a movie about a little girl with the above condition, and though I've never even thought about it since watching the movie - for some reason, after I had posted earlier, it just popped right into my mind...

...and then proceeded to nag at me until I came back to my computer, looked up the info, and decided to edit my post.

Possible Diverticulitis? Click me and see if any symptoms ring a bell.

Also check the symptoms for GERD, too.

Liver was a bit elevated, but i had been out with friends a few days before.

'A few days before' is of little consequence
It could even be indicators of an early on set of Jaundice (?)

Sounds like you need some tests - like scans or ultrasound or something. I’m
So sorry you are suffering! Gaining weight without eating sounds like fluid buildup and inflammation. The back injury is a prime suspect for fluid in the thorax, maybe? But seriously, keep digging.

I hope you get real answers soon!!
