Doesn't matter if the wages are going up if everything costs more.
But you keep on being happy with the crumbs your masters are throwing you.

How are corporate profits? Asking for a friend.

While wages have risen by 12.9 percent overall since 2006, wages adjusted for inflation (so-called “real wages”) have actually fallen by 9.3 percent.

So a 9.3 percent fall in the span of less than two years.

That's some adjustment.

Straight out LIE.

Depends on the company.

Gm for example had a $145 billion dollar revenue stream.

And only netted $3 billion.

But they will still need the 142 billion revenue minimum next year. Failure to be ready for next year is the logic that says they do need some profit % for their shareholders, you and I if we have a 401k. If they fail the stock tanks and the snowball from hell will take them out or Obama's bailout will be a waste and that would be the end of THAT positive for 44.

I don’t believe this.
Be reasonable, do any of you personally know anyone who has had a reduction in wages? We are paying the highest wages ever, just trying to lure in good employees without creating a moral issue with existing staff. It’s a big win for workers nationwide.

It's wise not to.

The time period they used covered the last 3 presidents beginning in 2006.

2 Years of Bush.

8 Years of Obama.

19 months of Trump.

I haven't seen a penny from this stupid tax cut and I don't anyone else who has. It's just going to let corporations do more lobbying and pay for more campaign spending for the GOP, who will return the favor by screwing us all over morel

That's funny because the tax cuts were only at the 2% level for most people. A few went down a little more. Many only saw a 1% drop in taxes paid.
Some rates stayed the same but the income level allowed was increased. The biggest decrease was for single people making 80 to 150 K roughly. They got a 4% drop in their tax rate.
Some didn't change at all. Singles earning between 200 and 500 K stayed at 35%.

And we're not even going to mention increasing costs for health insurance.

But hey soy beans should be cheaper so that veggy burger will cost less. And so will cheese so top that burger with a fat slice of cheddar. But take care of your grill because replacing it will cost more with steele prices going up up up.

That sounds like it is your fault for not trying on soooo many levels just by the last half of your sentence. You are a hater, admit it. You hate success if it isn't you and instead of doing something intelligent to improve themselves, people like to whine and pretend victim-hood. GIVE US A BREAK!

I was born dirt poor and had to use my brains and scholarships in a day when there where few, work part time jobs on campus like put books up in the library. People have to do for themselves cause the world don't care if you aren't ready and I am here as a witness for you if you will.

Then you either a) don’t work or, b) have a salary so high you stayed even or now pay more in taxes. If you compare your tax deductions from last year to this year, assuming same salary, you’ll find your increase (through reduced taxation, not increased salary). This does, in turn, produce more buying power.

you have to be a total moron to think that higher taxes = higher wages

Go on strike wages will increase. Tax cuts go in the bosses pocket.
Labor slow down costs the boss. Ergo...
The only way wages ever increase is if they are forced to by law or collective bargaining.

But we don't have any unemployment so if the illegals go you're going to have jobs available but no people to fill them because everybody already has a job.
You're going to have to vent your intolerance in another direction.
Crime perhaps?

Every techie on that list but the Java techs looking good.

I call those managers of the techies "nerd herders". I have sympathy for those managers. Nerds are eccentric.

maybe people from other countries should respect us and our laws, period

higher demand for labor is a good thing, it leads to wage growth which one of the biggest problems we have economically right now in the country

wait... wait... I know. we will raise taxes on everything, open the borders and implement socialism!!
