I find posts like this a bit amusing as a Star Wars nerd.

As I said before I totally get why its probably frustrating for people who are fans of the movies and just want to sit in a movie theatre and get the full story but the Star Wars universe is simply too big.

So for example, after the fall of the Republic the Empire stopped producing clone troopers and started using regular humans with the occasional alien. The book Phasma gives loads of details about how the First Order basically kidnapped children and indoctrinated them into the group. Again not using clones, FN 2187, Fin (whose number is a call back to Leia's cell in ANH) was never a clone so theres no problem having a black stormtrooper.

Honestly if you really love Star Wars explore the rest of the universe a little and you might find you get more enjoyment out of it.

That was a good book.


Regardless of if you think the EU is good or bad or if you think the last jedi sucked or is the greatest star wars movie......

I think we can all agree EA sucks and there handling of starwars games has been a crime against humanity.

Lucas arts in the old days did so much more with less money.

In a span of 10 years we got great games like:
Dark forces (FPS)
Jedi knight (FPS)
Jedi knight 2 (FPS)
Jedi academy (FPS)
Tie fighter (Space stimulation)
X wing ( space simulation)
X-wing verse tie fighter (Space simulation)
X wing alliance. (Space simulation)
Force commander ( RTS)
Star wars galactic battle grounds(RTS)
Empire at war (RTS, 4x)
Star wars rebellion (RTS 4x)
Knights of the old republic (RPG)
Starwars galaxies (Mmorpg).

EA in 4 years has brought us.

2 half baked battle front games that offer half the content as pre EA battle front.
A bunch of #ty mobile games.

And yet despite the small number of whingers about how 'star wars is ruined by SJW trash and is now dead', the Last Jedi made 1.3 billion globally and was 2017s most profitable movie.

And the film after solo sunk.

The the last jedi was going to break the box office regardless.

Force awakens set it up and there was lots of hype. No one knew Rian would pull a steaming turd out his arse. By the time people realized it was # it had made lots of money. Then you had people like me who missed opening week but went a few weeks later. I didn't believe it could be as bad as people where saying and had to see it for myself.....

Result: The last jedi broke the box office. It made that money simple as it was masked as "starwars".

Few month later Solo comes out and the disillusioned fan base takes its anger out on that instead.....

Yup $1.3 billion
The force awakens made $2 billion

A 35% drop from the first movie.

Hell rogue one made $1 billion with no established characters

Solo bombed at $385 million.
They spent $250 million in production alone.
Solo lost money.

Episode nine better deliver.

I guarantee that Disney is disappointed with TLJ.
The avengers movies grosses keep getting higher as they go.

Rotten tomatoes has TLJ at 46% fan score...lol

It would be hard for it not to be better...lol

I'm not happy about the way the sent off Ackbar either. What they should have done was have him do the hyperspace kamikaze maneuver. I can see it now - they all leave the ship, he turns it around, and looks out the viewport at the enemy fleet and says "It's a trap." then engages the hyperdrive computer.

That is the way to send off a character, not killing him off screen.

Holdo was an abomination and I fail to see how she could command the respect of any of the resistance's troops with her attitude and lack of leadership principles.

Holdo is something I expect to see in a safe space at a protest about ewok rights on a liberal arts campus not a admiral of a warship.

She had no people management skill, no real plan........
