there still won't be any fat ones....

they still will all have flat abs, perky boobs, and tight butts

body shamming at its finnest

Not many fatties would remain fat, cheerleading.
Unless the massive amount of exercise makes them eat three times as much 🤔

Oh noes! You mean there is going to a little less circus in your bread and circus?

It's bread and circus that serves no logical purpose, other than to fleece boobs from their time and money.

Not a damn thing to do with this topic.

Only to INSULT.

Perhaps you do not know what bread and circus means and that is why you think it is off topic.

My apologies Neo. I assumed you had a bit of knowledge behind the context of the phrase, which is rooted in games, in many forms, being provided for the people to distract them from what else may be taking place.

And, yes, it was meant as an insult. What you should be insulted by is the fact many people spend massive amounts of money to be part of the bread and circus.

Haha, I know, I went for the pink ages ago, I may change it because another member uses pink background as well.

There you go, orange.

Ok will not make that mistake again..

It's a GD political neologism, and like every single one of those,USED WRONG.

Especially in a thread about basketball.

Technically it's about dancers covering up.

The regular guys out there in the world were not the ones that are causing the problem. It is the rich investors and predominant supporters that were turning them into a pimp sport. I see nothing wrong with them showing skin, I do find that they should not be forced to give favors to certain people at the top though, or that they should be required to have naked photos taken of their members. Women tend to actually look better with a little clothes on.

Neologism?

As I figured. You do not know what you are talking about.

Have a good day Neo. Not going to waste my time arguing with your ignorance.

Cheerleaders should be only for college sport. That's what they're for. Whipping up the kids. Waste of money and energy in pro sport. Diverse crowd in the pro games. More of a distraction.

Sure don't.

PN

en.wikipedia.org...

In a political context, the phrase means to generate public approval, not by excellence in public service or public policy, but by diversion, distraction or by satisfying the most immediate or base requirements of a populace[1] — by offering a palliative: for example food (bread) or entertainment (circuses).

That was CLEARLY used in this thread.

Please stop TROLLING my time.

Are you trolling yourself?

I'm not sure I could watch a whole pro basketball game. But I could watch the dancers as long as they are showing some skin.

After a sexual harassment scandal the Dallas Mavericks dancers "not cheerleaders?" Are changing their uniforms to show less skin.

No pictures yet but the change will not be "drastically different" from their current uniforms.

So what, headbands?, knee socks? Burkas?

Honest questions here.
Would anybody even notice if you got rid of cheerleaders in pro sports?
Also does anyone believe this is anything but a stupid PR stunt to get fans to think the team cares?

dfw.cbslocal.com...

In other news, all paintings in museums will now be covered with black cloth to protect them from light damage. You can still go to the museum, pay the ticket, and listen to the audio tracks but you just won't see the paintings.

I say just get rid of cheerleaders -- it seems they are to become an American pastime because Americans are becoming so fake prude, we can't see skin anywhere, any more... it would seem that's reserved for everyone's porn.

Europe mocks American culture for being outwardly Puritan but internally trailer trash porn lovers.

A nation of schizophrenics....there's also a negative side!!

* notes the ongoing back-and-forth wang contest, proceeds to write duo off as banal attention seeking *

Now, cheerleaders. Who the hell wants to see more cloth on cheerleaders?? That completely beats the purpose of having a nice ass and an equally nice rack to look at for entertainment during a game.

They need to include stripper poles is what they need to do. And switch to string bikinis.

I've just been watching their performances and they are all smoking hot of course, but wow, they really can dance. The timing is amazing, and some of the energy they for the routines is impressive.
I wonder why the employer is covering them up, maybe just pandering to PC silliness.
I'd love cheerleaders at the rugby here in the UK

Oh no you don't want that in the UK, everyone knows cheerleading is a gateway drug that leads to porn. Everyone!

Btw, dig the new orange background. Did you recently go on a vacation to Spain or Portugal?
