So you believe everything Fox News says.

How interesting!

Atta boy!

But the extremely interesting question Trump asked a year or so ago remains.

Can a President pardon himself?

The answer may be in the question.

So all of a sudden people care about Govt Officials getting vast sums of money from foreign Countries and personas and businesses while in Government?

Glad that's never happened......

You'd think that would be a killer campaign topic ?

What does any of this matter? Didn't he transfdeer all of his businesses to his sons? So some civil lawsuit is gonna somehow take him down for what? Having successful children?

I really don't understand the craziness of the impeach Trump crowd. You know that would just give is Pence, right?

No, no, no. You don't understand leftist delusion. They think that somehow Pence will also go down. Then the Speaker of the House will also do the "honorable" thing and step aside or somehow seat Pelosi because it will be magically clear that Democrats should have won all along, and Pelosi, in her turn, will graciously then coronate Hillary who clearly should have won all along.

I think I have the basic gist of how this one goes, but if you go searching, you can find Op-Eds on it in supposedly serious publications.

So........Hillary gets screwed yet again?

You know Pelosi wouldn't give up the chance.

I demand a recount!

No, it means that any earnings through leases or profit on his buildings or hotels, if the money comes from other governments, for example, is seen as profit, even if it is at base value. Any earnings are considered gifts. So, I haven't read about this enough to know how this applies to guests staying in hotels or if it's just the Bank of China that leases floors in his buildings, or Germany and so on. It could be just countries or could be down to individuals. I can update you once I find out.

The way to avoid this situation would have been to divest all his interests and ownership into a blind trust, as an example.

Are you saying that this is just technical and tedious?
I'm all for justice, but this sounds tedious and not at all nefarious. Sad.
Sorry but this sounds like not the reason that the emoluments clause was created for.
In other words, only people living in a desperate fantasy world would try to get this to fly or count.

We've got this guy working for us now, so I say we try and keep him working for us.
I think the last thing anyone on this planet wants is to see Pence as the President. I mean, he'd chop all our d#### off.

*sigh*

Just more cheer-leading for anyone who hates Trump.

Trump did divest in his business, with a stack of legal documents several feet high... he can't even discuss the matter with his sons over the dinner table. Trump Enterprises, as part of that divestment, donates any profits from foreign guests to the US Treasury. All guests are charged the same rate, without regard to nationality.

Even beyond that, Trump cannot be sued while he is in office. He cannot be subpoenaed. This is all just some idiot attorneys general and a idiot judge who hates Trump so bad they'd sue him for whistling in the White House if they could.

The American public is watching these fools trying desperately to overthrow the election and negate millions of votes, and I have this feeling they won't take kindly come November to any group that thinks they shouldn't be able to vote and have that vote mean something. I know I don't. We constantly complain about Putin 'fixing' his elections, but here we are just ignoring one and asking the American people to support the effort.

Even worse, many do support it.

For someone who claims to dislike both sides, you sure do focus ALOT of attention on Trump.

And? Who is in charge of every part of the government and is making the news for corruption pretty much daily?

Except Trump is NOT in charge. If he were, the wall would be done, N Korea would be blown off the map, and CNN would be jailed.

So if you were his attorney, your defense would be - "It wasn't him?"

I don't think it would work.

Do you think these federal attorneys are making up lawsuits and all these federal judges are playing ball, and the Constitution is only there to make things difficult for Trump?

Wake up man, all these lawsuits are real, and they are all moving on, step by step, decision by decision.

Yeah. Sorry. Don't care. But keep channeling Rachel Maddow. It's comedy gold.

Why does it matter?

Any hotel they stay in they must pay for.

Perhaps Trump hotels security is better being he is the president and it will cost less to go to A Trump Tower?

Perhaps Trump and his family feel safer and more secure at a trump hotel?

Unless you can prove trump did NOT dis-invest in his own companies - this is a mute point

Also, you all go on about Trumps golf trips as if he sits there drinking booze and playing with women.

You realise (and trumps said this many times) when he golfs he's in meetings. He golfs with industry people, other government officials and heads of state. He's still doing business and work on the golf course...

What does it matter if he's in a board room or on a golf course?

Its just more ammo for the unstable ''get trump out of office asap'' crowd.

This case wont go anywhere. They are wanting nothing but access to his tax records and are using this to try and get to it. Any money his properties make from foreign governments have all been turned over to the US treasury since he took office. Given the russia bs collapsed and the left is desperate this is yet another last minute hail mary pass that wont work.

Deconstructing (IE destroying) a nation is not the same as building a nation.

Oh another investigation into Trump. This one must be valid and unlike the rest that are complete BS deserving REVENGE. This is not about Trump.

These people are against US. They would attack any representative we send. Only the corrupt that they choose outside of our civilizations laws are acceptable to them.

I say there is no law then and all is fair. Power to the strong. Power to the many. Power to those that arent dead.

There’s been quite a few of these threads as well, remember?

Hillary Hit With Fresh Evidence Of Hidden Collusion

And one of your quotes...

We have been saying it here for a while. Its great that the truth is so wide spread now.

At least with these things with Trump, actual judges are involved, unlike the multiple nothing burgers you lot are serving up against Hillary.

And no, I’m not defending Hillary before you start carrying on, just stating FACTS.

Oh and ETA: as it stands, there was no actual fresh evidence.

Oh wow a judge and everything. Hillary is not the subject. She gets people like the FBI to not recommend charges, not that she is never involved in illegal crap.

Arent there investigations right now into whether the Trump witch hunts are partisan illegalities by federal employees? Yes, I think there are, with judges, actual evidence and everything. Wow.

Every president in recent history has violated the Constitution pretty much on a daily basis. I fail to see why Trump is any different. (That doesn't mean I support him but facts are facts)

In fact, I would go as far as to say we probably haven't had a president who hasn't violated the Constitution in more than 100 years. If we ever have.
