This isn't my video, actually you don't want to see my version because it's terrible but I was next to guy shooting it last night. Someone remind me to invest in some long Canon L glass for next years EAA airshow!

This is special to me because I grew up next to the airport where EAA goes on so I have been going since I was 5. I remember one year in the 80s when the harrier actually hovered over my parents pool and the pilot waved at our pool party.

On a side note, two F-35s just flew in and the C-5 Galaxy flew so low over my parent's house that 3 of my 4 kids started crying lol. I've never been to another airshow before but I can't imagine anything better than this! I'll try to post some pictures later tonight.

After which, he promptly IFEd into the nearest AF base with an engine problem.

Seriously? You know, when he was going up it didn't look like all four afterburners looked right, not sure if that means anything but it just looked like one of them wasn't lit.

They're notorious for that kind of thing. Not sure if he IFEd or not, but those engines are nightmares.

That plane is loud as hell.

It's even more impressive when it buzzes the tower.

These things are awesome. When I was in Qatar in 2005 I was refueling a KC-135 down near the end of the runway at night when one of these went to take off. Everyone stopped to watch. "Bone"-rattling.

ETA: Zaph isn't kidding about the mechanical problems. We had 3 or 4 of them at Al Udeid when I was there. At least one of them was always broke.
