One of my all time favorite TV shows is finally going to get a movie with as much of the original cast returning.

If you weren't a fan of Deadwood on HBO "Fans of the HBO series have been clamoring for more stories set in the “Deadwood” world ever since the series ended in 2006. The drama ran for three seasons and 36 episodes, with many critics regarding it as one of the best television series of all time. The show picked up 28 Emmy Award nominations during its run, ultimately winning eight. The show took place in the 1870s in Deadwood, S.D., and charted the titular community’s growth from a camp to a town. The large ensemble cast included actors Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, and John Hawkes."

Anyway looks like they start filming in October which now can't get here soon enough for me.

I actually liked this series.

It was too short.

“Dan” and “The Colonel” going head to head was one my favorite scenes. I was rooting for Dan, it was intense to watch as it could have easily gone the other way.

I've only seen a few episodes. I'd love to own the series.

Should be interesting.

Great news I just hope Calamity Jane is still in it, my type of gal.

I loved Deadwood when it was on. My wife bought me the whole series on DVD for Christmas a few years ago, and I've actually been re-watching the series recently.

I do like how several of the characters went on to star in Sons of Anarchy.

Is it going to start off where the series stopped?

Or is this a move set years later?

About damned time. This is long overdue by about 12 years. Hands down some of the best script writing I’ve ever come across. David Milch is what Shakespeare would have been if he had littered his plays with F bombs and prostitutes.

Latest update on this movie is that it is going to be set 10 years after the last episode.
Any roles where the actor/actress passed away will not be replaced.
Can't wait.
