Gents - would you grow your hair long again?

40+ years ago, I had hair down to my elbows, and twice a week wore it as purple and green spikes

I have about 5 lbs of 2 1/2 to 3 foot long dreadlocks in a bag that I plan on using on a puppet.
Over 15 years without a trim.
It is just too damn hot in Texas for that kind of hair.
It works in winter and on the beach, but it's just not practical most of the year.
I sheared it off with a 3 guard a couple months ago. It is much more comfortable in the summer heat.

I've always had long hair unless work requires me to cut it.

Usually I get about 3 years of growth going before I get mad at it and cut it all off.
The job I have now requires I have shorter hair but I let it grow out and get it cut once a year unless asked otherwise,
but most of my life I have had long hair.

It's not cold.
It's 15 degrees C.

As a matter of fact this weather is very weird.

It's midwinter, and I'm about to go shirtless.

Maybe not without precedent, but it is very strange.

regretfully, no, and now that Madame Wong's has been closed for so long, not even any pics on the walls. I sometimes dream of having hair, but I don't miss it upon waking.

It is about 3 years or so old.



(Sad to say the handle on the coffee cup didn't survive my trip to Alaska)

Went drastically the other way once I got back to Alaska.


It is growing back now so I might have to shave it off again.
I'll tell you what, and this might sound weird, well ok it was weird...
The first time I walked to work in the morning after shaving my head was the strangest walk I have ever had.
Feeling the air on my scalp was freaking WEIRD.

A completely new sensation to me.
I liked it.

Creepshow and Dusk Till Dawn were great. His school is near here in Pittsburgh, Monessen.
Douglas Education Center.
But he lives in Pittsburgh. A good friend went there for Makeup and FX. That's how I come to know him. I've worked on Sets as an RN.
So I've seen the Hair Plugs up close.😆

I'm 32, can still pull it off! but honestly I really don't think age matters! do what you like!

I love my long hair, but it pisses me off at the same time, especially when it gets past my chin ... I have wavy/curly hair so for me the best length that i think I can pull off is about ear lobe length, any longer and it's riding that line between OK and ... # no!!! when I look in a mirror.

Really considering just chopping it all off, haven't made my mind up yet.

Best length for me ...

Cut all mine off at 17, so it was an easier transition. But I also started working in EMS less than a month after school. So there was a dress code.😝
