Anchorage, Alaska - A lover's quarrel took a bizarre twist last night. The Anchorage Police Department said late last night, after a fight over a pending breakup, a woman severed her 44-year-old boyfriend's penis.

Kim Tran, 35, was arraigned today on charges of domestic violence, assault, and tampering with evidence.

Police said after the fight, the couple decided to have sexual relations and he agreed to let Tran tie his arms to the window handle above their bed. That’s when they say Tran pulled out a kitchen knife and severed her boyfriend's genitals.



Police say Tran flushed the penis down the toilet and then drove the man to Providence Alaska Medical Center shortly after midnight. Hospital staff called the Anchorage Police Department and police called officials with Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility to recover the penis.

OK now that we are all squirming, what should the punishment be?

um, how about having her boobs cut off?

But since we dont do eye for an eye anymore, how about 20 years in jail.

why do they have to recover the penis anyway? i mean it's only the man who got his penis cut off's buissness okay if someone cut of your penis would you want it recovered? i mean its broken ripped off you cant just stick it back in......and also that women is crazy!!!!

as for punishment hmm what would the charges be, possibly GBH (grevious bodily harm) or could you say man slaughter after all she did kill his man hood

Words cannot express how much that probably hurt. I remeber the Bobbett case? Poor guy got his wang thrown out the window of a moving car, then became a porn star.

Geez!! I just cant imagine!! SHe should definately go to jail!! She has destoyed his ability to have normal relationships in the future not to mention probably totally screwed this guy up emotionally and mentally. What a B***H!! There is just no excuse for this behavior, its one of the worst things you could do to a man.

Apparently it can be reattached. But OMG what a thing to do.

If the injury is amputation of the penis, the amputated portion should be wrapped in gauze soaked in sterile saline solution and placed in a plastic bag. The plastic bag should then be put into a second bag or cooler with an ice water slush. If reattachment of the penis is possible, the lower temperature produced by the slush will increase the likelihood of successful reattachment. Penile reattachment even after 16 hours has been reported to be successful.

She should fry, I suppose but we really don't know whether he had maybe been abusing her for years or something but...the truth will out.

John Wayne Bobbit had his reattached and he later did a porn flick called frankenpenis or something like that.


The punishment is easy. The severed penis should be attached to her forehead for a month. This way it will be kept viable and can then be detached from her and reattached to him.

I wonder if something cut off will ever properly function again like it used to. I somehow doubt it but I guess one could always have hope. Punishment should be given to deter future attacks. The lesson I learned by reading this. If you have a fight with a girlfriend and threaten to break up with her, don't be conned into letting her tie you up if she suddenly decides to be nice. Looks like she decided she really did want to break up. Ouch. That's gotta hurt.

Well, I've always thought stupidity should be painful and now I know it can be--if you're also gullible. I can't believe the guy actually let her tie him up after their argument. Did he not know women carry a grudge.

what's the punishment for attempted murder...because that's what I'd be going for. the guy could have easily died!
