Jesus do people not have anything better to do than call the cops to harass others?

"A patron came up, a lady at the pool, and told me that I needed to cover up," Buchanan says.

Davis then started breastfeeding her child in solidarity. A pool employee asked them to cover up or move to the locker room. They refused and decided to leave the pool. That's when a police officer approached them.

"I said 'Minnesota state law protects me to feed my baby anywhere that I need to,'" Buchanan says. "He said, 'I understand, and I let the establishment know, but they reserve the right to ask you to leave.'"

Good on these women who came out in support following this incident.

The women say they were humiliated at first. But then dozens of fellow moms showed up in Mora over the weekend and nursed their children outside the pool. The outpouring of support online, and at the so-called nurse-in protest, encourages their efforts to advocate for breastfeeding moms.

This isn't an isolated incident, not by far. It seems to be common but fortunately, thanks to the power of social media, this kind of harassment is being exposed:

I actually witnessed a woman being harassed in person. She was minding her own business breastfeeding her child when this elderly man approached her and told her she had no decency. What the hell? This was an elderly guy? I mean breastfeeding has always been a perfectly natural and acceptable thing for woman to do in public. You have your infant son or daughter, naturally they need to be attended to. There's no flexibility, so what the hell are they supposed to do?

Funnily enough I've only seem to come cross these cases involving men harassing these mothers. Funny that? They can't look away? Christ.

For those of you also unaware, breastfeeding is perfectly legal , not that women need to explain themselves to anybody for this.

Why have some folks suddenly lost their damn minds over a baby being fed?
My first wife breastfed our son in public 30 years ago and noone said a word. 2nd wife breastfed both of our kids 20 and 18 years ago respectively....and nada.

Its a breast. Its a baby.
Get over it.

Did every human being on planet Earth never discover human anatomy? Why do people freak out over a female's breast? I mean it isn't even on par of the same as looking at a vagina, so I don't get it...

We all used to walk around half naked a few thousand years ago, have people become so sensitive to seeing human body parts now? So immature these people.

Good for the moms out there! Take it a step further and go topless and see them all really get triggered. Hahahahaah!!!!

We had a woman down here recently, in a parenting room, expressing milk in a cubicle and some woman called security, who came and escorted her out. They dispute the events, management apologised but said they didn't ask her to leave.

But... Yep, this day and age.

Ummm...I have to agree with what the lady in the video stated...breast feeding...is...beautiful and natural...why on earth anyone would want to attach any shame to such a natural and harmless act...is beyond words...

This has more to do with the psychology of the antagonists than anything else...

After all...that is what breasts are for...

Now I'm wondering about my own psychology...and my attraction to breasts...and a sudden desire to...snuggle...

If people think this is nasty, consider the fact we are the only mammals that drink milk from another species breasts or (utters). We don't even drink milk from our own species after infancy which should be the end to drinking milk after that. Humans are weird I tell ya.

Ummm...well...not the only mammals that drink milk from another species...think hard about your statement...If it were not for the udder milk then we would utterly be without that manna...that quintessential mate for virtually anything under the sun that's edible...cheese...

Need I say more...

Humans definitely are weird...and perplexing...and wonderful...and amazing...

Unfortunately, I am seeing a lot of older folk fighting with growing old. They think following the crowd and denial will keep them forever young.

Then you have the other side of the extreme that feel they have to play the traditional role of grumpy old man or witch.

Ummm...Oh...the sun doth shine on a dogs ass in the greater scheme of things...doth it not...?

And broken clocks are indeed correct twice a day...

For time rolled down it's terrible road and enough of it passed us all by...that I finally find myself in agreement with something you have stated...

May miracles...never cease...

Keep up the good work brother...we just may eventually have enough material for an honest conversation yet...

This is dumb, some people just want to be pissed off about something, that old geezer needs to loosen up like having one flop in his mouth, then maybe he wouldn't be so jealous, maybe that's what happened to him, his mom neglected the boobage he naturally deserved so he's like the Grinch who stole milk!

Okay, since all the replies are on the same side, I'll present an argument just to keep things interesting.

There is a time and place for everything. Just because something is natural, doesn't mean it can be expressed in public. As a society, we have (used to have?) etiquette that one generation passed on to the next. This is true with all kinds of behaviour like how you dress, how you sit at a table when eating and even how you hold your utensils. Personally, I can only recall seeing a woman breastfeeding just two or three times in my life. I think what that says is that, for the most part, women are discrete when they do it. In that case, no harm, no foul. It's simply polite behaviour in public. I certainly have nothing against it.

By the way, it pisses me off when someone in public burps loudly or sneezes without covering their mouth. How long before I can't find that objectionable.

I can't wait for the day that I get a friendly phone call "someone's harassing me while I breastfeed"
In my state, it's legal for women to be in public completely topless.

Boy oh boy, I know we would show up en masse lol.

I know they say, it's better to not poke the sleeping bear..... but sometimes, you gotta stick it to the "man" or.... the whiny woman who wants your baby to eat in a dark hot cloth, or nasty bathroom.

I suppose this has always irked me because I wanted so badly to breastfeed my son, but he refused to latch and I couldn't let him starve so sadly formula it was..... Plus, it's not like.... Breasts are not a "sexual reproduction organ" in the sense that... they shouldn't be sexualized. I know people are attracted to breasts but there is a time and a place, and when a woman is using her FOOD ORGANS to FEED.... people should stfu!

This is the type of thing that protest were meant for.

Feeding babies is a right that is inherent in being a mother.

It can not be taken away.

Except by force by evil people.

You girls feed your babies whenever they are hungry not mater where that happens to be.

I will physically defend a women breast feeding in public if I ever see one get attacked for doing so.
