ATS Now on Page 5 of Google Search

I've been watching this creep in over the last few weeks.

A search up until yesterday had ATS on page 2, then all of a sudden, as of yesterday, it's page five. In looking at the some of sites listed ahead of this ATS we have, for example;

ATS - Electrical Testing & Tagging Experts (I've now got this one bookmarked)

and

ATS - Automotive Transformation Scheme (Pretty interesting, if you're a narcoleptic and loving it)

Lets not forget;

ATS - Advanced Telemetry Systems (Can't believe I've never been to that one before)

And, obviously, the ever popular;

ATS - Australasian Trauma Society

But we knew this was coming;

Google continues to make George Orwell’s book 1984 a reality by censoring free speech and free flow of information.

At this point it's important to reflect on the popularity of the sites that I have listed above.

giving a search giant so much control over the free flow of information is extremely worrying.

But why the censorship? I know that Google at al are saying it's because of the crackpot loony stories, the alien stuff, the Nibiru stuff, but I reckon that's horsesh!t.

Personally I believe it's more than likely to be something along the lines of this

Google’s New Fact-Check Feature Almost Exclusively Targets Conservative Sites

Google, the most powerful search engine in the world, is now displaying fact checks for conservative publications in its results. No prominent liberal site receives the same treatment.

Now, people are going to say that ATS isn't a conservative publication and they would be correct. But seriously, have a look at the bulk of contemporary content and tell me it's balanced.

Regardless whether you agree with the content here or not this is clearly an extraordinary & unwarranted level of censorship and is very worrying indeed.

Or all all the filth posted on here lately has drastically harmed their search engine optimization (SEO). The index isn't prioritizing key words like lib tard or triggered snow flake.

The content of a site does affect its rank in search engines.

I'm surprised they didn't add a Wikipedia link next to the real ATS link to drive you to their narrative like they do on YouTubes.

I noticed that too, along with downward spiral of quality content.
lack of any other subject matter other than US L/R shenanigans.

Member logins way down... and dropping in the search rankings
I'm wondering when :

1) The site takes a real wobble and closes
2: The owners do something about the Political content

It;s really sucks here now.

Obviously it's an evil googlistan plot to suppress our voices!

We should take to the streets and protest those evil oligarchs.

Lets mobilize people!

Which proves the point that Google is doing its ranking using criteria that's different than Bing.

I remember a time here at ATS when we didn't want to be found nor rely on a search engine,but the desire of like minded people to share ideas

That's what is happening to slashdot.org and even the comments on Youtube. Instead of having mature discussions that sound like adults, many comments are now like 10-year olds playing a console game.

I just tested this myself. Searched in Google for ATS. I checked the first 20 pages with 10 results per page. This site didn't come up at all. Tried DuckDuckGo, same search, very first result was abovetopsecret. Looks like I won't be using Google search anymore. It was a good run.

I know it won't, but it'd be nice if this type of censorship backfires on google and associated entities.

I tried Googling ATS and gave up when by page 7 it still wasn't showing up, however when I typed in above top secret it was in the number one slot.
