I have had a few beasties visit my bivvy over the years. Hedgehogs are surprisingly noisy - they grunt like pigs. Badgers are scary.

One summer night a cat crept into my sleeping bag while I must have been asleep and went to sleep by my feet. I only noticed when I went to turn over and out it came, very fast and clawing all the way. Scared the life out of me.

Hahaha! A stray cat slipped into your shelter?! That is funny as #!
...I camped in my garden most of the last summer, only used the house for the bathroom and washing machine, BBQ every evening after work. It was great curled up in my tent with the cat.

I never thought of you as being warm and fluffy.

lol.
Beneath this rough exterior and all that.....

If you could look into this old face and try to see the young man
I swear I once was pretty, not the monster you now see
But I squandered all my chances, lost my faith and took for granted
This life and precious one chance, the whirlwind I'll wreak

That's a belter.....going to plaster that everywhere I see Corbyn being touted as a potential good Prime Minister.

Surely everyone who knows about it must seriously question his judgement skills.....and to think he was sober as well!

carpy, you aren't getting a twitch are you?

Hahaha! Carpy is loving it really, couple of pints and he'd do Abbott in a heartbeat...it would take 10 Sambuca's and a blue pill for me though

That's re-assuring.

One has to wonder why and where CCG was browsing to see such a thing?
He appears to be developing an unnatural obsession with this.....

Lol, I know it grosses Carpy out so I can't help myself!
...there are some brilliant Abbot/Corbyn memes out there, lots would breach ATS rules though.

Off for a pub lunch now though so have a good afternoon chaps

Hmmmmm.... I wonder what urges you to search out all these memes? I think we all know the answer to that one, don't we, Freeborn?

Under no circumstances could I.....well, maybe some really strong hallucinogenics might do the trick but other than that, nothing, not even financial inducements!

A friend of mine, who unfortunately is no longer with us, once told me how a local band called Thatchers Bush got their name; apparently they were in the pub discussing what they should call their newly formed band and one of them asked where was the place they'd least like to be.....and the rest as they say is history.

You've nailed it mate, I've found some Abbott porn on the darkweb as well, you'll see it front page news soon once it leaks out! It starts with her doing a striptease while Corbyn is on all fours with a ballgag in his mouth.

Lol about Phil Collins and the bland food. I was scared of the rats as well, luckily the old wooden benches in the derelict place kept me off the floor, but they were scuttling around me. Cool story of the kind man, I had a similar kind man, a head chef around the age I am now.
I applied for kitchen porter jobs and such like for months while homeless but with no address I never got the job. Jobcentre told me there was an immediate interview at a local hotel so I went straight there. I never looked homeless, launderette and 50 pence showers at the local bus station, so I got on well with the chef interviewing me, he gave me a form to fill out, but when it got to my address I looked at him with an embarrassed face and admitted I was sleeping rough.
He looked at me with a kindly face and said he didn't care about that, just how good I am at working, can you start at 5pm today?

I jumped at the chance, nearly cried with happiness, I worked like a dog that night, preparing vegetables and washing pots/pans. Had a fantastic cooked meal at the end of my shift and when I finished the chef came up to me with £200 and said get yourself a rented room tomorrow and be back for 5pm, you can pay it back £20 a week. I actually cried. I'll never forget that man (Wolfgang, he was German), he gave me the break I needed and I worked the whole summer there. Back on my feet and the rest is history.

If I'm ever in such a position I'll help a young person out like that as well, I'm nearly tearing up now thinking of it lol

Heartwarming stories CCG and Freeborn. Restores my faith in humanity reading stories like these.
I’m sure you both have paid it forward in many ways over the years.

Also happy to read you are not afraid to cry CCG . Real men cry !
( my fav Van Morrison song because the lyrics are so real. Long intro though )
