Maybe you could vary your time of departure each morning. Maybe 10 minutes earlier or later each morning.
When you encounter your window of opportunity to view the reflection, you shoot an azimuth and record your location. After a while, you'll have
several measurements separated by a couple dozen miles or so.
You can reduce the error introduced by the oblique angles by using multiple measurements. Instead of using triangulation, you're using
poly-angulation.
