Our pharma way of doing this

So health insurance premiums went up as did the deductible for a lot of people when the ACA came into fruition. After that is fully dismantled your premium will go back to almost normal rates. Your deductible will most likely stay as it is. Which means that big pharma still makes more money. And by a long shot. Your copay will continue to rise as that is the plan. Should be obvious to most and I know one member here knows that.

So now a question must be asked. The ACA may be a “socialist” plan but one that could have been fixed to help drive down costs of medication that is purposely driven up. And I have no problem with capitalism. So where do we draw the line? I have seen first hand the absolute insanity of this plan slowly being implemented. It disgusts me but pays my bills.

What say you ATS?

Yes..But healthcare coverage does not necessarily mean cheap and appropriate coverage of needed drugs for those that need them. I myself do not have an answer for this but I would love opinions on the matter.

We used to own a drugstore. Are you aware the pharmacies can independently charge whatever they want for meds?

This is why 10 pharmacies of exactly the same chain...can charge 10 different prices for the same meds.

That put stores like ours outta business in the late '70's. We couldn't complete $$-wise with the chains...and that does go right back to big pharma and what they charge

PS...and insurance jacking up and down is putting a strain on our...everything

I am of the opinion that the system in the US is so corrupt, so broken and driven by nothing but corporate greed and politics to the that it is completely irreparable.

Bleak assessment, but I see no hope.

Perhaps the US could make it mandatory for everyone to carry and discharge automatic weapons, at all times.

The corpses could then be put into the machine that minces them up and makes more insurance.

Then there would be enough to go around, no need to even build a wall out of Mexicans.

Free basic healthcare.

Fully subsidised health care.

Fully subsidised healthcare infrastructure (services, buildings and machinery).

Fully subsidized pharmaceuticals.

Other countries are doing it.
