Report: Mueller Has Offered Tony Podesta Immunity To Testify In Manafort Case
Special counsel Robert Mueller has offered Clinton-connected superlobbyist Tony Podesta immunity in order to testify against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
“Tonight we can report exclusively based on two separate sources we spoke to today that Tony Podesta has been offered immunity by Robert Mueller to testify against Paul Manafort,” reported Carlson.

Well, if this is spot on, Trump just needs to pardon him.
Send a clear message that anything you can do, I can do better...
When the judge (T.S. Ellis) presiding over Paul Manafort‘s case in the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA) suddenly halted proceedings Monday afternoon, some experts speculated that it might be a sign Manafort was preparing to cut a deal. It turns out that five witnesses cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation are the ones seeking a deal.
In a Tuesday filing, Mueller asked Judge T.S. Ellis III to grant those five unnamed witnesses immunity, which is obviously a big deal. One does not simply seek immunity when one has something good to say.
The immunity demand will have to be granted if these witnesses are going to take the stand, the filing says. If they don’t get immunity, they will either not testify or invoke their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.
That’s not all. Mueller and his prosecutors are also asking that filings containing information about these witnesses be sealed. Mueller said that sealing of these documents is necessary to protect the identities of “uncharged third parties,” to prevent “undue harassment,” and to prevent “reputational harm.”
unconfirmed sourced makes me nervous but if this ends up being true expect republicans to be furious and this will pretty much rally their base and maybe some independents before midterms
Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly given a key Democratic operative immunity to testify against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. According to Tucker Carlson, speaking Thursday evening on his Fox News program, Mr. Mueller has offered immunity to Tony Podesta, founder of the Podesta Group and brother of former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. Mr. Carlson cited “two sources” whom he did not name. Both Mr. Manafort and the Podesta Group worked on a campaign named the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, and most of the charges against Mr. Manafort relate to his work there and whether he laundered money for Russian oligarchs, worked as a foreign agent, disclosed his income and status, and related issues. Mr. Carlson also complained of a political double standard, repeating a claim he had made last October that Tony Podesta and the Podesta Group had committed at least some of thos

Since the judge has yet to rule, if Podesta isn't harassed, does that mean Mueller's motion to keep the identities of those he plans to provide immunity to under wraps no longer valid?
