I think all the democrats need is to not be Trump. You know the guy that sold us out to Putin and became his little +itch. Bent over bigly. The guy that established tariffs that are destroying the farming heartland of America.

The DNC can't believe their good fortune everytime Trump runs his mouth. And the "sweetness" is that it's his own fault.

No! not enough, a complete do over is needed and they ain't it.

Bitching about Trump will only get you so far, his side simply don't give a fk, even with his latest treasonous act.
A clear pro-active message is what's needed, Americans are actuality more progressive than many think, that message is not conveyed through current leadership.

What Should Democrats Do To Regain Their Self-Confidence and Self-Worth?

Stop being reactionary, and more pro-active about stuff that truely matters,

stop tryna be Republican lite get back to the party of the ordinary man,

stop being against stuff and show what you are for, stop being pu****$ies and man da fkup!!..no body likes weakassed bitches.
The above will take cleaning house to accomplish.

Stop being against stuff? Like being against the GOP raiding Social Security? And calling it an entitlement?

Like being against discrimination based upon race, age, and sexual orientation?

Like being against campaign corruption and special interest money?

Like being against traitorous leadership?

Should I go on? Maybe you guys should stop being pussies, grow some balls and stand up to your treasonous leader....

Wrong guy, I'm in fact a super Lib/Progressive, but I'm sick and tired of being in the party of the lesser of two evils, the party leadership are literally Losers!! all they do is lose, never learnt anything from past mistakes, they pretend to care but give zero fks..they fold every time, tell me what happened to the dream act?? how easy was it to piss that away. they simply do not fight for sht..they get steamrolled every fkig time on easily won stuff.
Chuck.
Nancy.
Dianne
Perez
And others need to get gone, new blood pls, establishment Dems had their chance.

The Dems leadership may be losers but that doesn't change the party platform. I support the party platform because I believe in it.... and I oppose the other party's platform. It's really that simple. Not sure why you're railing against my response though... I never mentioned any of the party leadership.

Get rid of Tom Perez.

July 18, 2018

And replace him with whom? Maybe Donna Brazile could return. She's far more polished than Tommy, and what she did (leaking CNN debate questions to Hillary) was minor by comparison to other things that are coming out from Obama Admin democrats.

BTW... The U.S. House is voting today to SUPPORT Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Democrats in Congress would help the party look more "normal" if they voted YES in support of ICE.

House Republicans are planning to hold a vote on a resolution expressing the House’s support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and condemning the idea of abolishing the agency.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said the move is in response to Democrats introducing a bill to dismantle ICE and then announcing they would vote "no" on their own measure if Republicans brought it to the floor.

McCarthy said holding a vote on the pro-ICE resolution will reveal Democrats' "hypocrisy," stating, "I want to see where people really stand on it."

On "Outnumbered Overtime," Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas) said ICE is an important national security agency, and it's "reckless" for Democrats even to suggest abolishing it.
More at: insider.foxnews.com...

The Democrat Congressmen who originally brought a bill to the House Floor demanding that ICE be abolished, suddenly changed their mind at the last minute.

Whatever the party platform is , it's not bring conveyed, and my response is apt..because "they" are not moving to what they claim to care about.
Fix the party by bringing in new blood, or lose ppl like myself.

Look... I'm not happy about the DNC screwing Bernie out of the nomination but it makes no sense to me to abandon the party because you don't think the party platform is being conveyed properly.

You either believe in the platform or you don't. if you only care about being on the "winning side", your priorities are screwed up.

So if the platform makes no difference to you... go join the other side....

I think his problem is the Democrats in office don't care about the platform. It's just about words and power.

They should disband their party, disavow their disgusting ideology, publicly apologise to the world and where relevant, turn themselves in for their crimes. Then they might be able to legitimately claim some self-worth.

Running out of steam UK?

:-)

Trying times...

And I would agree with that.... Maybe I'm an idealist but I still believe in the platform.

That's what I'm not sure about.... "Whatever the party platform is ..." doesn't really convey a support for the platform. But I'll give the benefit of the doubt.

...and thanks for the clarity and congeniality. It's Refreshing.

It's pretty simple - - you have the Right - - mostly Christian White, anti-abortion, pro gun - - - same demographic that fought against Civil Rights.

Then you have everyone else - - - all the "color outside the lines" people.

The issue with "color outside the lines" people - - - is their diversity.

Diverse is the correct terminology - - - not Fractured.

The big question is: "How do you unite Diversity"?

I really wished it was just about screwing Bernie, which is a big deal for me , but he's just one man, but they did nothing about Standing Rock the Milwaukee teacher's strike no support, they never challenged thieving Scott Pruitt on all the B/S he was allowed to get away with, they let the Reps kept Obama from making a supreme court nominee for a full f
yr..now we are gonna be stuck with one of Trump's appointees, guarantee to be corrupt A.F, they are just at sitting around waiting for Trump to go to jail as if that matters, because then what?? Mike Pence??..yeah good look with that.

I admire the folks who say they are commies or socialists because they aren't afraid of being honest as to who they are and what they want.

I don't agree with them, would never vote for them, but I admire their honesty.

Democrats, hell, every ideology should be honest.

If you're against freedoms and rights, then just say it!

The constant lying to the American public every voting season is getting old and tiresome.

The demographic of those who opposed Civil Rights speaks for itself.

The same group that opposed Marriage Equality.

The same group that oppose Right of Choice

The same group majority supporting Trump.

Be proud.

I don't want Trump to go to jail... I don't think he should be impeached. I'll voice my disapproval at the polls in Nov. I think many others will too...

I'd say -- depends on what Trump is impeached for.

If it comes to that.

I think the Democratic Party needs to reframe its goals in such a way that makes it very clear how their policies would help to put money in the average citizen's pockets. Poor minorities and people everywhere on the sexual preference spectrum all want more money and they all fantasize about getting rich. Present "diversity" as the same basic thing as "diversification" of a financial portfolio. Throw in a little homegrown wisdom about mongrel dogs being smarter and healthier than purebreds. Keep making that point that isolationism leads to stagnation and expanded free trade actually boosts the economy and opportunities in a world that keeps getting smaller and more interconnected.

Then find somebody charismatic and articulate who can relate to people on a human level and explain it all. Not somebody like Hillary who has been a politician for so long she is no longer convincing when she tries to act like a normal person.

Who is that person? Where are they? Have all of the really sharp people given up on politics and nestled into private business so deep that they don't want to get out? Politics is a filthy business, sure. I wouldn't blame somebody really smart for not wanting to bother with it.
