A man accused of attacking his wife with a chainsaw has been deported from the US 11 times since 2005

Depending on their criminal history, any person who illegally reenters the United States, after having been previously removed, could be charged with a felony offence that carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

Alvarez will be transported back to the Whittier City Jail where he will be booked on charges of attempted murder, child endangerment, hit and run and grand theft auto.

People like this are just one reason we need to actually enforce our immigration laws instead of simply letting people flood right back in once we deport them. A man named Alejandro Alvarez Villegas who had previously been deported 11 times has managed to sneak in yet again, this time viciously attacking his wife with a chainsaw in front of their 3 children. Her condition is presently unknown. Alejandro was eventually caught and arrested for attempted murder, child endangerment, hit and run and grand theft auto.

If you'll notice, illegally re-entering (sneaking into) the US after being deported is a potential felony charge with up to 20 years imprisonment. This man has clearly shown a blatant disregard for the laws of the US by violating that at least 10 times. The fact that he was actually free until his chainsaw attack is an indication of the absolutely sad state of our immigration enforcement.

This is why mayors and other officials that flaunt US law and declare sanctuary cities should be in prison.

Anything for a vote....

including chainsaw murders.

This is why active deterrence is required at the Open Border.

But were they separated from their child? That's all anyone should care about.

A) So what??

We should have jailed him for life for comming into the country illegally the first time????

B) See that’s why this kinda stuff is just ridiculous.

If the “burden of proof” to prove something is an account of one individual.. what can’t you prove??

Wanna prove all white people are sadistic KKK members??

Tell the Dylan roof story or countless others..

Wanna prove Koreans like to poop on the salad bar at ccici’s pizza??

I can probably find an account of a Korean pooping on a salad bar..

No sir. Just 20 years after the second time he was caught.
Laws are laws. We follow them or we vote to change them.

Ridiculous to see this kind of garbage overflowing into our country. We have enough problem with crime in the states without other countries contributing to it.

The fact he was still free after 11 deportations is despicable. Clearly more needs to be done, including physically blocking their ability to enter (via the wall, electric fences, drones, whatever it takes) as well as providing for severe legal penalties for repeat violators of our immigration law.

If you return after being deported, you are no longer making any sort of "mistake" - you are willfully and intentionally compromising the National Security of the United States and putting its Citizens at risk.

Sounds like a mission for the US Marines - advance and deploy several hundred feet into Mexico (similar to Israel's defense tactics) in order to properly secure the border (and deploy troops without violating Posse Comitatus). Because they'd never make it onto US soil, they could be deported immediately. Since Mexico is unwilling to deter the flow of illegals through (or from) their country into the United States, they aren't leaving us with much choice.

Credible, valid and legal asylum requests should and always are handled differently than illegal immigration.

Because he had no business being in this country in the first place. He didn't belong here. We clearly didn't want him here, given the 11 deportation. The fact he ignored our sovereign legal will to exclude illegal immigrants (but him specifically) from admittance into our country is ridiculous. Even more so is that such a heinous and violent crime happened as a result of our failure to properly enforce US law (which would've prevented this brutal murder)

Illegal immigration is undesirable and unwanted by the population of this country: its Citizens. Most importantly, it is directly prohibited by law. A law designed to protect Citizens against unvetted and difficult to track subjects.

This couldn't have happened had someone not irresponsibly sold him a chainsaw.
We need background checks and end the chainsaw show loophole.

Look, the guy attacked his OWN WIFE. Schools need metal detectors before ANY FREAKING WALL! The alt right love to say the left does not care about the kids here in the U.S. they are the ones who are pro guns, and nothing is being done for OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN. How many kids will die, next school year?

If enforcing border security could save just one life. . . .

The Mexican government should be responsible for paying incarceration time for the people who have illegally crossed. Or better yet , have their own large detention centres where they can deal with those being returned. I don’t think these illegals should be on the tax payers dollar in any way , shape or form.

Too lax for too long means now it is time to get tough. Will be hard to turn around , but it can be done. Programs with incentives for legal immigration would be great.

The same as any year. A few will be murdered. Most who die will intoxicate themselves, make bad choices and perish as a result.

Well, if we go by 2016 and 2017, the answer is 26 - 9 in 2016 and 15 in 2017.

2018 is going to have a higher total than the last two previous years. And it is a shame and should not happen. Something should be done about it.

But, and this is important: if saving lives is really your goal you should start with the things that take the most lives, not the least. Why start with something that cost 26 students their lives over two years when texting while driving kills thousands? Both are preventable and the students are just as dead. The families and friends hurt just as much.

11 deportations since 2005...

That pretty much explains a lot.

And no, I don't care about Obama's kick out numbers. There's a thin line between abiding by the law, and simply making it look good.
