So how could flowers EVER result in a big CRASH, BOOM BANG??? How could they ever do that???

Well, let me tell you...and you can laugh!

You see, my lovely wife planted some nice flowers about 800' away from the house, around one of our ranch signs. It looked very nice.

Only problem was; we don't EVEN have enough hose to reach this spot to water (and we have a LOT of hose for the animals).

So the flowers were fading, and tonight I tried to "help" (lawd help me).

So I grabbed the skidsteer and loaded up the 300 gallon water tank in the bucket. I filled it enough to keep it in the bucket and drove down the hill with it. (Note: the tank was bigger than the bucket).

So, I had it all set up, hoses and everything and I went down the hill with the tank. My plan was to rotate the bucket just enough to get water flow and water the flowers (for my wife). Well, that didnt' work.

I rotated the bucket and the tank fell off the bucket, smashed into the ground, ruptured the tank and spilled water everywhere BUT the flowers.

Dammit! I'm out there in the dark, with this great big broken water tank (no help). My freaking dogs are laughing at me (how can a freaking dog laugh at you???). I'm an idiot.

Here I've got some of the coolest gear in the world and I can't even water some simple flowers! Good thing there aren't any neighbors nearby.

I'm sitting there asking myself...really? $140,000 worth of equipment...and you can't even water the freaking flowers!!

Go ahead, you can make fun of me. It's okay.

Laughing, for certain, but also, how sweet to go to all that trouble to water the flowers! Maybe just buckets, or watering cans, hauled in the back of a truck?

Pipe in the water, or ditch it in.

It's a BIG hill, 700' elevation from the top of the driveway to the bottom.

Hauling water isn't even easy going "down" the hill, let alone coming back up.

Next time I'll just fill the damn bucket full of water and go down there and dump it.

I was just trying to be fancy (I guess) tonight.

Bad move on my part.

There's not a flat spot out here!

Rugged terrain everywhere.

Just pee on the plants when you check the mail.

If someone comes by and steals some, piss on it.

I carried that water tank back up the hill (and I was mad). It was broken, so I tried to smash the rest of it so I could fit the pieces of it in our dumpster. .... Damn near flipped the skid over trying to break the tank down.

The freaking tank won!

Dammit!!

Look mate ... you have to see it from the tank's perspective.

It probably thinks it is an M1A3.

That was your mistake.

You should have sat down and convinced the tank (using Cognitive therapy.) that the reality is, it is just a water tank.

Then you would not have had a problem.

So ... it is not you! It is the tank's problem. And you killed it ... so no more problems.

How much will it cost to replace the 300 gal tank?

I hope the wife appreciates all the effort you went to...and still not get the job done!

I gave up on that tank tonight, but I made a point to tell it..."just wait until tomorrow!!"

Tomorrow I'll get the big tractor our and see how damn tough that tank is!! I won't try to smash it with the bucket on the big skid, I'll just drive OVER the damn thing with the tractor!! Smash it flat! Nothing can stop "big red" (It'd crush an entire house and you'd not even feel it).

Justice!

Oh, I still watered the damn flowers!

I went down there with a silly watering can and just sprinkled them. Dumb, I know. (not nearly enough water in my opinion)

But they got watered.

Damn flowers!

How much? Prolly a couple hundred bucks, this tank has been around for a while, and I guess the sun has hardened it...so that's why it broke.

No, actually, the wife is pissed at me, frankly. She thinks I'm an idiot, BUT...how else do you want to water those damn flowers????? (so I won some points there asking why she planted them so far away). (silence).

The flowers are only 1/4 mile away.

The mail box is 2.5 miles away.

So, checking the mail involves a vehicle (for me anyway). I pass the flowers on the way by.

Frustrating...?! Yep!

Buy cheap hoses, yard sales and what ever sales...
Link them together. Drag them out to the plants.

Sing a little song and happy dance while holding
hoses on said plants. Laugh and smile...
Roll eyes....

You must really love your wife. And you didn't get mad at her planting flowers at such an inconvenient place to care for.
She's a lucky lady.

My wife likes to buy an occasional fruit tree or pretty tree and plant it somewhere on our 400 acres.

I feel your pain.

Might I suggest...

Truck Bed Plastic Water Tank

It saved her life.

Erm... it saved me a lot of hassle?
