Well, what do you propose? How would you reform the system to more directly reflect the will of the Republic? Take away the rights of the states to decide how they vote? A purely popular vote would be a disaster. I think that's clear just by looking at the voter maps. What's your proposal?
I propose we follow the Constitution. I have no issue with the Electoral College.
Again, the Electors are chosen based on State popular vote as it should be.
Your earlier claims about this system being a protection against so-called “mob rule” were incorrect.
What you call mob rule is what the Founders called the will of “We the People.”
I disagree. Mob rule is California and New York deciding elections for the foreseeable future because they can generate more votes. Removing the EC is anti-American.

Quoting the opinions of mainstream GOP that Trumpites spend their time detesting and deriding does not clarify anything?
A self-declared Neo Nazi won the Republican Nomination for Congress.
The GOP is either incompetent or uncaring in allowing it to happen. Either way it is complicity.

Not triggered at all, I just find it funny how far this place has fallen. One word over and over again, that's what this place chooses to reward these days. Lol.
Electoral votes are allocated among the states based on the Census. Every state is allocated a number of votes equal to the number of senators and representatives in its U.S. Congressional delegation—two votes for its senators in the U.S. Senate plus a number of votes equal to the number of its members in the U. S. House of Representatives.

California has 55 electoral votes...the three states you mentioned have 9. 3 each. The EC protects smaller states from those like California. Representation of the country as a whole not just because you have a large population.

What was ityouso many have said a few times over the last year?
Get over it; Trump won.
EDIT: OP denies making the comment; I take their word for it and have corrected my post.
The sentiment remains.
I guess millions of voters NOT BEING REPRESENTATED in the electoral college is patriotic to you.....
