I'm just glad they didn't kill him.

It shows how tolerant they are by letting him live.

Yeah, just like Heather D. Heyer at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, oh wait... she was killed.

I guess it "shows how tolerant they are" by killing her.

So that is what you have?
What else?

Obviously not a sense to detect sarcasm.

No.
And that is another problem with the liberals.
No ability to detect anything but weeeeeeeeeeee

Then I suppose your sarcasm detector is broken too.

So you're one who can dish it, but can't handle it. Got it.

Do you even know what sarcasm is?

Stick to your day job because your intuition is horrible.

If you can't tell the difference between a "liberal" and a libertarian leaning independent then your opinions don't hold much weight.

I wouldn't be so callous about an actual death.

But you do you. Boo.

Nope.
My intuition is fine.

Maybe you are not very good at expressing yourself?

I have more in common with real liberals

Interesting. What do you think those commonalities are Met?

You were joking regarding killing. I was simply pointing out, with sarcasm, that such joking isn't really all that funny.

I'm glad that you agree.

Rest assured, I get it. It was ice cold sarcasm, and now you're on a virtue signaling kick.

Perhaps your equating killing, or lack thereof, with "tolerance" in order to broad-stroke people isn't such a great door to open in the future.

Sometimes it's a bit too easy to forget that people actually have died in today's political turmoil.

You do not know what you speak of.

BTW, If nobody understands your "ice cold sarcasm" it is not sarcasm at all.

Can one be sarcastic and simultaneously virtue signal?

I'm confused.

Good question.
I have yet to see a virtue signaler use sarcasm.
They might be out there waiting to wow all of us with their sarcasic virtue signaling posts.

It wasn't "simultaneously".

The posts in question were separate posts (thus my use of "and now" to delineate the difference) by the same member who "wouldn't be so callous about an actual death" yet today's cut-throat left/right broad-stroking and heated rhetoric has lead to exactly that... actual death. People seem to easily forget that fact, and "sarcastically" toss around notions of killing like it hasn't already happened.

If I had to guess, Dark Humor would be entirely lost on a bonafide Virtue Signaler.

You like say "broad-stroking" but what are you talking about?
Somebody died today for politics?

There ya go.

A large part of the problem, in the rhetoric of today's politics, is the broad-stroke technique used to paint an image of there being some monolithic-left, and/or monolithic-right when neither actually exists. Both major parties are comprised of individuals, both the republican and democratic parties have been bleeding out members like crazy for years, and both are political minorities compared to the number of independents out there. Today the technique is most commonly used by taking some fringe nutcase from either side, and presenting that fringe case as wholly representative of the entire left, or the entire right.
