Or maybe they're not as authentic... trump is pretty big on perception. Did you ever see his door men when trump tower opened? I would be very surprised if this wage wasn't well above what you guys call a 'living wage'.

I think some people just don't get it in many ways.

Those who aren't making good money to support a satisfied lifestyle maintain a simple direction....Survive.
Their goal is to have enough food, enough for rent (situational), enough for clothes and enough for utilities and services for themselves and any family.

Many people RELY on state/gov provided services to meet these needs. It's a fact and a result of policies that we've created. No argument there and totally a different debate.
These folks DO NOT CARE about finding a job simply so that they have a job. Sure, the majority would jump at something that was willing to pay them in excess of what they were receiving as benefits from the teet. But just taking a job, any job, so they could say "I HAVE A JOB!!" is ridiculous.

Companies like Mar-a-Lago can list positional requirements which fall way outside the sustaining limits of many unemployed. They might have pay rates less than what someone on benefits would receive, might have time/shift requirements which negate any "high schooler" or "first job" folks from applying and simply make the qualifications unreasonable.

Bottom line - it's about money. It sucks and it's a kick in the face to many folks who aren't working and want to but in a nutshell....Simply having a job doesn't mean you can survive. Some folks care more about surviving than having a job.

Trump is a professional con man. You all been duped to thinking he's some patriotic hero in the likes of QANON's writings.

His goals revolve around himself, not the people of the u.s. Keep believing his pseudo anti-elite b.s.

That's a good question? Are there? The Mar-a-Lago is yet to demonstrate this.

Do they need to? Seems people are making assumptions with little detail. Quickly going to some, cheap labor thing, so that would be a good question.

The proper Capitalist response in this country should be to raise wages until you attract workers.

No.

Palm Beach's unemployment rate currently sits at 3.6 percent. A local job placement agency told the Post that there are plenty of local workers who would be eager to fill the positions.

"We currently have 5,136 qualified candidates in Palm Beach County for various hospitality positions listed in the Employ Florida state jobs database," CareerSource spokesman Tom Veenstra said Friday.

Also, Tom Veenstra is senior director of support services at the Palm Beach County CareerSource office. It's a free service that links qualified job candidates with employers. And during the past two years, the agency has placed more than 50,000 people in jobs in Palm Beach County. Veenstra says he has no doubt he could fill Mar-a-Lago with U.S. workers but they have never been contacted to fill positions.

More to the point, did Mar a Largo place any postings for job openings?

its now the responsibility of the employer to advertise jobs?

What happened to good ol' fashioned finding a job?

Boggle...
I guess all those Jobs Ads in the newspaper are not posted by employers?

Where's it required?

By the business itself
You desperately try to hang on , dont ya ?
But , just to clarify , the company I work for requires our group to have at least one French speaking , one German speaking , and one Spanish speaking agent on duty all times.

Holy crap.
That is what you are selling?
Then why has Mar-A-Lago regularly hired hundreds of foreign workers before and after Trump became president?

Quite the long con.

The Expanding Empire Of Donald Trump (NYT, 1984)

Asked to explain, he adds: What does it all mean when some wacko over in Syria can end the world with nuclear weapons?

He says that his concern for nuclear holocaust is not one that popped into his mind during any recent made-of-television movie. He says that it has been troubling him since his uncle, a nuclear physicist, began talking to him about it 15 years ago.

His greatest dream is to personally do something about the problem and, characteristially, Donald Trump thinks he has an answer to nuclear armament: Let him engotiate arms agreements - he who can talk people into selling $100 million properties to him for $13 million. Negotiations is an art, he says and I have a gift for it.

The idea thathe would ever be allowed to got into a room alone and negotiate for the United States, let alone be successful in disarming the world, seems the naive musing of an optimistic, deluded young man who has never lost at anything he has tried. But he believes that through years of making his views known and through supporting candidaes who share his views, it could someday happen.

Do you think more folks from other countries would not be wanting to stay at Mar-a-Lago for that very reason ?
The reason that you yourself gave ?
Read you own post and quit reaching for something that is not there...

Mar A Largo can't hire enough US citizens as full time employees who speak English and French, German, and/or Spanish?

It's a question. But is the point clear enough?

How about this? US citizens are too expensive.
Or maybe its SEIU Union workers who are too expensive.....

No doubt it does.
If that is the standard, then the entire US agriculture sector should be cut a break.

Do you think he is above employing illegal immigrants?

Donald Trump quietly paid $1.4 million in 1998 to settle a class-action lawsuit that alleged he stiffed a union pension fund by employing undocumented Polish laborers to demolish a department store to make way for Trump Tower.

The amount became public this week after a judge released previously sealed settlement documents in response to a motion filed by Time Inc. and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press in 2016

Yeah. As long as they come from Norway.

Hey, maybe they can show us how to do healthcare while they're here?
