In fact, were we to stop the wailing and gnashing of teeth for political "gains" and actually look at crime statistics, we'd see that violence directed "from the right" is and has been much more prevalent and violent than the diffuse acts that the media is currently shoving in our faces to promote the cause of increasing anxiety, fear and anger in all of us.

Best teaser for a thread ever.

I think Shumer and Pelosi (mainly Shumer) will try to lead, at least for the run up to the midterms........not sure how well that will work out tho.

They're not leaders. They're East and West Coast Establishment.

Moderates in fly-over country are not going to find them compelling.

Warren is a bit too school-marmish/professorial and Bernie is, well, a Socialist. LOL.

They got nothin.

I'm interested in Joe Kennedy ... but he's still young and dynastic.

Julian Castro ... Cory Booker?

Young, photogenic ... also dull as dishwater.

They got nothin.

IF the DNC doesn't return to all inclusive moderate behavior, they are toast. Can't be a bully and pretend the other guy is while caught red handed doing that very thing because it ruins credibility.

As the arm or fist came towards my person. I would put a round into the torso of the assailant. Don't bring a fist to a gun fight snowflake.

Then you are basically a violent person ?
And never assume anyone is a snowflake
Especially not a down home Georgia boy.
Someone shooting someone in a fisticuff match would by definition be a "true snowflake"

Well a real man would be 6'3" and 240 can certainly handle that without any assistance one on one anyway. The ladies, the featherweights and older folks need equalizers to have a chance to survive the brutal haters.

Just like the media, you're trying to equate the Democratic Party leadership and membership (what's that 35 million Americans or so) with these pointless attacks on individuals.

This tells me that your primary concern is partisan rather than commentary on the facts of the matter.

The fact is buffoons like Maxine Waters are very clearly on their own desperately trying to get media time.

The other fact is that folks like you promote the converse position that these acts represent what most Democrats not to mention moderates and liberal-leaning folks believe in or act like.

You're acting just like the stooges you called snowflakes in the past.

Mad Maxine is great! She is helping bigly, to fuel the #WalkAway movement, among the many millions of good democrats who are just now realizing their party has left them.

Do you honestly think the media and entertainment industries don't have influence from people in positions of power? Do you honestly think all of this left vs right division is just the result of people from either side merely having difference of opinion?

I think this is such an obvious coordinated effort to cause problems just so the "solutions" are more readily accepted. And no I don't think the left gathers in secret conferences once a month, that is just a simple strawman argument. Do I think people in power secretly gather together for a unified purpose while playing us off against eachother to accomplish said purpose? Yes, it couldn't be more obvious.

Nothing great about cartoons like Maxine Waters.

I'm glad to see anyone drop the conceptual yoke of a political party for whatever reason.

Well I ONLY call balls and strikes. I am calling foul on that one.

You're dead wrong. We are not idiots, we have our own eyes and minds that work and I am still a moderate calling them as I see them cause I can't hit anyone very far or throw sissy fits like the Progs can.

Who's the "we" that you want so desperately to speak for?

Whenever an individual speaks in the plural, I know I'm talking to someone who wants to represent a side and sow division.

Crime statistics speak for themselves: Proportion of terrorist attacks by religious and right-wing extremists on the rise in United States- University of Maryland START

A Dark and Constant Rage - 25 Years of Right Wing Terrorism - ADL

Etc. etc.

Stop with the partisan drum-banging.

No I am not like the media but rather just like they and apparently you would seem to not want from the sheep like people. I think for myself and not from my emotions even when the facts are bad for me.

I let emotions stimulate my thinking to focus on the real facts I can prove. Sorta, like a scientist studying hard data should. I do that so as to not misunderstand something so much I would allow my emotions overcome me and abuse another person's rights.

I would defend my self to the best of my ability but not attack another unless attacked. I was taught to give them a chance and then do what you can to stop them because they don't care if they hurt you. I had to be wiley and use my wits which isn't the best approach with a bully Antifa type with a pack of friends who don't care if I am weak.

Thanks for the personal statements.

The facts of increasing political violence are bad for all of us bud.

We're both on board with that, we both condemn it.

I can agree with you on condemning it.

The issue is ignoring it's escalation toward the trumpettes. It is insane and dangerous. It is designed to cause riots and create situations where the nation is in turmoil. Our enemies thank them, and Soros supports them.

NO one here is ignoring it.

Jumping on the delusional bandwagon provided by the media isn't helping resolve it.

A trend of people not having their CC an exercising self defense on their own property?

Will happen soon if this keeps up.

How would YOU justify the use of a firearm in this case ?

I'm asthmatic. A simple, 30-second scuffle could give me an asthma attack, which can be lethal. The moment someone starts a physical altercation with me, my life is at risk because I don't know how far they're going to take it. Just one punch? Are they gonna tackle me? I don't know, and I'm not risking my life to find out. I could easily get a doctor to testify to this in court.

People need to consider they don't always know the circumstances of the person they're about to assault. Then you got legally killed because you were a sheltered, spoiled child who can't handle seeing a flag you don't like.

The irony is they're the ones constantly crying about Russia, but they're also the ones unwittingly doing Putin's bidding. This is precisely what he wanted.
