You should ask him or the previous admin. Maybe also look at his platform and what promises he made. In other words its like asking what Trump felt about Weiner's laptop on the day of his inauguration.

You're better than that care-you-must.

This new President of Mexico KNEW IN ADVANCE that the age of sexual consent was going to be lowered to age 12. I was asking if anyone here on ATS WHO FOLLOWS MEXICAN POLITICS knows what statements this new President has made on this crazy move by the Mexican Congress, or whatever its called there.

So he is going to fight the drug lords and Trump?

Well he might, and that is a very big might, be able to beat them.
But any great leader knows you do not fight a two front war. That is concerning as to whether he will succeed or not.

No, he wants to offer amnesty and start with a clean slate and keep cartels from messing with the citizens. The government declaring war on then a decade ago is what started all the crap, that and the government trying to sell all natural resources and taking the money and leaving if he wins. One of the guys running has warrents in the USA and EU according to my wife of course. We came to vacation on south padre island and for her to vote. She seems happy about it.

Did he not say that the Mexican people should try to go to t

"Our communities are not alone," Peña Nieto said. "The Mexican Government will provide them with the legal advice, which guarantees the protection they require."

"Where there is a Mexican migrant at risk that requires our support, your country should be there," Peña Nieto said in a brief address to his nation, which he said was a response to Trump's actions earlier in the day.

Specifically, he said, "the 50 Mexican consulates in the United States will become authentic advocates for the rights of migrants." He didn't provide details on what he said he wanted them to do.

www.nbcnews.com...

Why doesn't he just make their home a better place for them to live so they don't have to come to the U.S. illegally?

You actually trust our media? According to my wife he cares much more about mexicos economy then mexicans coming here illegally. He wants people to make a better living in mexico, he wants to break all foreign company contracts thats giving mexicans bad wages and wants new contracts for better wages. Minimum wage is 88 pesos a day which is horrible. Like my company there is paying employess $3 an hour and pays people like me in America $30 an hour. Big wage gap for the same work. He wants to make it fare. Good, more work to come home. But what companies dont provide to mexico he has hopes a little guy will rise to the occasion. Everything takes time and hard work. There are no real shortcuts.

Mexicans generally dont care about a wall or America, stop listening to our media. They can care less about how big our wall is. They love their country, Mexicans have pride in there country. The only reason 99.9999% of mexicans coming to america is for the greenback. Save up to buy a house or farm or business then return. All this crap about illegal immigrants is mostly bogus. Mexicans would perfer to stay in mexico especially if they can make better money.

It's so hard to fathom this. Most people have a really hard time believing Mexico lowered the age of sexual consent to age 12. They also have a hard time believing that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg advocated for 12 being the age of consent, in a paper she authored in 1997.

Well see here is the thing - you know that the swamp doesn't drain overnight.

Do you honestly think that a leftist will overnight usurp the cozy relationship between law enforcers and big drug money?

To get upto speed look at the military Junta run south American Republics of the last 50 years.

Education is key

for example

Pay attention now - its not so "leftish - rightish"

rationalwiki.org...

Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte (1915—2006), pronounced almost like "pee-no-#"[note 1] in Spanish, was a murderous dictator and money launderer[1] who ruled Chile from 1973 until 1990. He attained rule by overthrowing the socialist government of Salvador Allende by military force (with support from the US government, as it was the case with other Latin American dictatorships)

Paradoxically, it was for his apparent lack of political ambition that he advanced to the rank of commander-in-chief, under the left-wingPopular Unity government led by Allende, who believed in Pinochet's trustworthiness

Amnesty International cited a figure of between 10,000 and 20,000 Chileans killedin the coup and in the months following the coup in 1974.[5]

The question is why would a liberal news station lie about what a liberal Mexican President said?
I know your saying your wife says, but do you get all your news from your wife, and just where does she get her news from. Any links you can give me for that?

Sounds like Mexico is a patch-work of varying ages, depending on which state the individual has sex in.

The age of consent in Mexico is complex. Typically, Mexican states have a "primary" age of consent (which may be as low as 12), and sexual conduct with persons below that age is always illegal. Sexual relations which occur between adults and teenagers under 18 are left in a legal gray area: laws against corruption of minors as well as estupro laws can be applied to such acts, at the discretion of the prosecution. These laws are situational and are subject to interpretation.
