Who colluded with Russia?
Exactly, so any promises couldn't be kept. It happened before election day.
Dude...
...you know they didn't talk about their grandchildren.
If you actually think they did, then there is nothing else I can add to this debate.
So she would have a better chance at winning the election. Politics.
Donald Trump Jr., who agreed to meet with people claiming to have information damaging to Hillary Clinton on behalf of the Russian government. He has admitted to this, and it is collusion. Now you need to pretend that it would only be treason if we were in a state of declared war.

I'm not going to speak to the legalities of this, but in terms of the court of public opinion, I really don't think people care or think it should be a criminal act. Jr wasn't working on behalf of a foreign government. Nor was Jr working to undermine our government. And since any such collusion would have only affected candidates, not the elected president (or any other official), there was no treason. At worst, it was a campaign violation. But not treason.
Amazing mental gymnastics!
Junior was told that the Russian government wanted to help his father get elected. By cooperating with Russian agents, he would be aiding a hostile foreign power.
Remember how upset you were about Secretary of State Clinton signing off on a routine business deal involving Russian and Canadian assets?
Further, by concealing these contacts, there was an implicit understanding that they were illegal.
Junior was willfully undermining the electoral process, which is what gives our government its legitimacy.
That collusion did not just affect candidates, it affected the will of the people and the legitimacy of the future president.
No wonder the majority of Americans say "not my president."

What are folks talking about 2 years plus after it actually occured? The "Tarmac Meeting."
What do you actually know about what happened? Nothing, it's speculation pure and simple.
What does this accomplish? Anxiety, fear and anger.
Mission accomplished.
