well it's pretty obvious from that short clip that there was a group of people violently attacking another group of people with various weapons we can see that clearly

provocateur maybe, but this isn't unusual for an Antifa group

It also isn't unusual for them to show up to confront political opposition groups who happen to have shields and helmets.

WHen 2 groups of assholes go looking for a fight, im sure a fight is found. Meanwhile, us grown ups are at home keeping the temp up on the smoker so the pork butt is ready for supper.

I know right.

I have done nothing but call out antifa but I say one fact about the use of the term bomb and suddenly I am an american hating terrorist.

I am in the center and I vote republican sometimes.

Being attacked over facts though makes me think twice about doing that.

Whats even better is I bet that they would call you a leftist....

I just don't get this, why are they so unwilling to call out the other side as well as antifa?

Why pretend that one group is better than the other.

Me and you are probably political opposites but I agree with you on this.

two groups of assholes go looking for a fight and this is what happens.

the "right" to protest has nothing to do with it, these fights have been going on for decades, just now with media and social media, people are starting to weaponise it for "their side"

It has everything to do with it because of the political hijacking both sides of done. No one wants to enforce the rules or make arrests or make it clear what the consequences are for causing violence. Maybe the right needs to be downgraded to a privilege.

If that is what it will take for everyone to get the point and grow up and stop acting like hard arsed wannabe killers.

That has nothing to do with this.

But yes a smoke grenade that a military would use is very very different than a smoke bomb that a citizen can legally buy.

If smoke bombs had been used on the Branch Davidians the fire never would have started.

Should we outlaw fireworks now because they are deadly weapons?

My god any incendiary smoke generating device can cause a fire if used without care. I am absolutely not calling for the outlawing of fireworks I’m saying that using fireworks in a way to cause harm is both incorrect legally and morally.

Antifa are indeed terrorists and, ironically, fascists.

No in your opinion they are terrorists.

They are not official a designated Terrorist organisation.

Now you can make your case for them being a terrorist organisation but officially they are not a terrorist organisation.

So can we please stick to facts hear.

There's little doubt that, legally speaking, throwing fireworks at someone or into a crowd is assault in most states.

I'm with Texan's appraisal above though ... the video doesn't really show who threw what.

It was the rightists permitted march, if you look at the links I gave above, you can see the police actively attacking the "Anti-fascists/Counter protesters"

throwing a mortar shell firework

That is what me and my friends do.

We even light them in our hands.

Fireworks are not as scary as you think.

Does this make employing it against a group you disagree with right?

Please quote me saying that it was.

Oklahoma City Bombing? Or perhaps the 1st WTC attack?

Were those attacks carried out with fireworks?

Pretty sure the P.P. groups are political trolls. That's their purpose, to provoke a reaction, to start a fight. Pick an area of opposition, and Hold a rally for no purpose other than...political trolling for a reaction. simple!

could be true, don't know but if they do it lawfully and peacefully we can just ignore them right?? there's all kinds of rally's that go on

I wonder... I wonder if both of these organizations get their funding from the same place.. hmm haven't looked into it

Interesting you say that.
I'm even open to the theory that both groups are actually the same group. (sometimes)
That Antifa can be real, and not real at the same time.

That if you need news coverage, you dress a few of your P.P. in black scarves and helmets.
Have them misbehave and call them antifa.
It could be a show, with actors.

and
Fireworks are easy to come by this time of year.

we may be political opposites....but you authored a thread recently that had me actually saying "THATS RIGHT" out loud. There's a link in your PM's if you want to know which one.

well, no, that is not how it works...

see, Fascism is its own political ideology, so just because you call someone a fascist doesn't make them one, that is like saying Trump supporters are fascists... see, it doesn't work

I had noticed that the Praying Patriots and Antifa really seem to keep good tabs on each other ...

Hmmm.
