A boss that fires an employee for giving him a suggestion on how a job can be done better is a foolish boss.

WOW!!! 19 out of over 6000. Stop the presses, this is breaking news.

Every place of employment has a minute percentage of employees that don't agree with everything they are required to do.

They are not complaining about what they are required to do.

It's very concerning how many people didn't read the letter and formed their opinions on comments in this thread only. I imagine if they actually read the letter many would actually agree with it, but many didn't even get past the title and read the OP, let alone the letter.

You heard of Mandela affect.....well i call that the Twitter effect.
Reading that paper reminded me of my AF days when were were expected to do more with less. At some point you gotta call knock it off cuz someone will get killed or the mission suffers badly. These guys are just calling knock it off.

So 19 out of 20,000 ICE agents don't believe in a secure border. Get em out of here.
...
What is your point exactly op?
This isn't like some sweeping movement.

19 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have written a letter asking for the dissolution of their agency.

How about just fire their ass and replace them with people who will actually do the job they're hired for.

There is no way you could have read those 3 links in 3 minutes; especially the multi page letter in which they describe their reasoning very well.

No one has to...
Job responsibilities and work ethics that apparently some folks know nothing about

Quite the contrary, actually.
But you didn't read the letter so you wouldn't know that. Not your fault.

Are they refusing to do their jobs?

Or do you miss the point?

Try telling your boss the company needs to be split apart so work crews can be assigned tasks the way that YOU think things should be done.. Make the announcement that you are managing things now like these agents.

The results would be Hilarious

One of the companies I worked for, did just that. We had a half-dozen different teams each duplicating the work of each other but with different products (vertical organization). So they rearranged everything so that there was no duplication, and everything was well organized. Then they got bought out.

What America should do is...let everybody in. Knock down all borders or walls. Deport all white men to Europe. Also, institution of police force should be banished together with white men.

And then...the flowers can bloom again.

United States of Wakanda. It would be glorious.

So 19 out of how many?

So, I have to assume that everyone who failed to either read the letter, or failed to comprehend the letter, are against the stop of international trafficking, child porn, etc. because that's what they want. It has NOTHING to do with anything other than the current policies making them unable to do their job. All they want is for their office to be moved from ICE to another part of DHS. Simple. The GD job of these agents has NOTHING to do with border enforcement. It's like saying a kicker on an NFL team should be fired for not being able to intercept a pass in a game, because he was critical of the way the coach handles the defense.

They can't do their job because people are no longer willing to talk with them in their investigations due to the ICE label. If you read this, and say "screw 'em", you are either willfully ignorant of what you read, or you drew your own conclusion without reading it at all.

Wow 19?

A whole 19?

Out of 20,000.

I am sure Trump will get right on that.

So we have 19 agents writing in a professional manner raising concerns they see with their ability to do their job - note they are not making demands, or threats of any description - they are simply doing what anyone in any employment would do.........yet we have Trump supporters now calling for them to be fired, publicly shamed, etc etc. I half expected someone to call for the guillotine.

Why? Because those 19 agents DARED to speak their opinion in a country that supposedly upholds the virtues of "free speech", and apparently that is unacceptable to those who also claim that Trump is not a dictator and they aren't supporting a dictatorship.

What a joke.
