You should have chosen B.

I'm not a knee jerk sort of person.

Says the person who took the knee jerk response.

Plenty of information readily available online about B.

Feel free to ignore it though and pass out on-high your lofty opinion.

Ever been a member of the LGBTQ community?

Insert your knee-jerk response here.

Milo isn't conservative or alt-right though, he just loves to trigger people because of PC culture.

A) I would like to know the particulars of the case..

Did he have hundreds of child porn saved on his laptop or was it a played up charge like a 16 year old sent an 18 year old a naked pic??

Peadophiles are only interested in prepubescent children so 16/18 year olds

are of little interest to them.

Yea.. In scientific terms, but in layman’s terms a pedophile is any pervert messing with any child.

This story is super fishy.. whenever something seems to be too stupid to make sense. I find it is usually a fake story twisting the facts for clickbait..

Fair enough but it wouldnt be an accurate story since “man lies on application “ isn’t the headline..

The headline is saying some unknown group , that I’m guessing doesn’t have the authority to level fines, leveled fines on a bank for firing a pedohile..

This story is too fishy to be “as sold”.

Australia signed some treaties that made their actions illegal. In 1975 Australia ratified the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR); in 1980 Australia became a party to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR); and in 1990 Australia ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

These three treaties prohibit Australia from discriminating against any person on grounds including race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or any 'other status'.

International jurisprudence indicates that discrimination on the grounds of criminal record would fall into the 'other status' category.

That is indeed indisputable, however it should be noted from the report linked above that;

Preference was given to an internal candidate who applied for the role, late in the recruitment process.

and more importantly

I accept that Mr BE did not disclose, in its entirety, the extent and severity of his criminal record in his initial online application and that this may raise issues as to his trustworthiness.

Applying the logic given, why deter a pedophile from living next to a daycare or elementary school. We don't want to limit his opportunity to housing do we? Also, no more not hiring convicted thieves to work in your warehouse, or embezzlers to work in your accounting office, or rapists to lead girl scouts....and the list goes on. It's never a good idea to have a fox guard the hen house.

Shouldn't every felon that has been denied housing or jobs be given compensation by the "Human Rights Commission"? Or is that privilege just reserved for pedophiles?

You reckon. How about you re-read this line;

hung up on this sort of child abuse stuff

Picking up on anything non-consensual about this part of the sentence?

I choose A.
Idiocy knows no bounds.

Truer words cannot be found. Kudo's! Idiocracy started a while back in the last century. We just have more on board with recognizing the issue. Now, if we could agree on what we are going to do about it?

There is indeed an agenda to "normalize" pedophiles as a part of the LGBTQ community.

Has been for years now.

Just part of the liberal agenda to expand the base.

OMFG, no there's not. There's groups of alt-right trolls posing as liberals trying to normalize pedophilia, and a whole (embarrassingly large) horde of people stupid enough to fall for it.

We really want to go back to the mob and gullotine crowd, without a chance for parole or not listening to because no one going to give a # because it a democracy.

Not worth risking one career, nor a dumb ass wizard defaming the beloved, yet fragile god like entity they worked so hard for these days, I'm sure we will find very soon.

I completely agree with SunCorp on this entire thing. I honestly don't understand this statement right here.

'Notwithstanding the very serious nature of Mr BE's convictions, I find that Suncorp's decision to deny Mr BE the opportunity to access employment with Suncorp constituted an exclusion which impaired Mr BE's equality of opportunity'.

Forget he's a pedo for a moment and look at everything else. He applied to be an insurance claims consultant. That means that he will have access to personal information that needs to be secured. He lied on his application saying he's never been convicted of a crime. He's already proven himself to not be trustworthy. That right there should automatically disqualify him for hire.

Mr. BE already "impaired" his equality of employment by lying about his past. If he said yes and explained the situation, well, I'd still agree with SunCorp since he'd have access to personal information related to customers with children, but at least in that case they could have an argument. As it stands now, I honestly feel they have nothing. The fact that they sided with him in this regard is mind-boggling.

Yes it is mind boggling. And because of that it's fair to ask, is there an agenda here?

If the world was ran by child sexers who knew their blackmail was in the outbox, wouldn't you imagine they would attempt to lighten the blow any way possible?

I'll never forget how the UK played dumb about Jimmy Saville til the very day he went to hell. Its very telling.
