This is a shocker. And I've put this in general conspiracies because to me this is highly conspiratorial to say the least.

The actual headline & linkification;

Human rights commission orders Suncorp to compensate paedophile after it refused to hire him because of his criminal record - but the bank refuses to pay

So, to summarize;

Paedophile "A" applies online for a job with a bank.

Bank offers Paedophile "A" conditional employment.

Bank subsequently discovers that Paedophile "A" is in-fact a paedophile with a criminal record and rescinds the offer.

Presumably Paedophile "A" complains about discrimination, and here we are.

Now, what's is really important here is that he lied on the application form, yep, a big fat lie. He answered NO to the following question;

Have you been convicted of an offence.

If no was true then that would be ok, however;

Paedophile "A" has a criminal record that dates back to 2008, which included convictions of 'use of a carriage service to access child pornography material' and 'possession of child pornography'. Paedophile "A" was sentenced to a year in jail and was suspended for two years.

At this point I suspect most people would say, fair enough, the bank is perfectly right to conduct itself in the way it did.

Unfortunately the president of the AHRC didn't see it that way;

Prof Croucher said in a statement, 'Notwithstanding the very serious nature of Mr BE's convictions, I find that Suncorp's decision to deny Mr BE the opportunity to access employment with Suncorp constituted an exclusion which impaired Mr BE's equality of opportunity.

To me that's a bit like committing murder, standing trial for murder and having the whole lot thrown out because the actual act of murdering was completely inconsequential.

It goes on;

'I accept that having a conditional offer of employment extended to him, and then rescinded on the basis of a criminal record that does not adequately relate to the inherent requirements of the role has caused ... distress'.

At this point it's pretty hard to fathom the decision.

So far the bank has and is refusing to pay any compensation, and I sincerely hope it remains that way.

It's a pretty disgusting matter really and to me seems like an extraordinary attempt to humanise paedophiles.

Sounds like a really stupid decision.
But what do I know?

Not so sure about that humanizing pedophiles thing but it would be interesting to see the results of other cases of people lying on job applications.

Well, I suppose it comes down to either;

A - The level of stupidity of this decision is of mythological proportions and completely off the scale.

or

B - There is an agenda.

As someone who has lets say history as a victim (can't go into details) this is absolutely disgusting. I do not understand what the frack is going on. I mean are we really going to reach the stage where people who rape and abused kids (and in some cases claim the child started it or as one man claimed "The child was prepared and understood") are accepted and treated normally? Is that what will be the next fight, equal rights for black people - done, equal rights for women (contrary to what most feminists will tell you) done - LGBTQ rights, done so we're moving onto pedophile scumbags now?

I do not understand what is going on and I'm really concerned about where this is going. We're reaching a point where everything no matter how depraved and disgusting it is is going to be accepted - hell there was a bloke a few years back who was demanding the right to marry his farm animals (Horse I think) because he loved it. People we need to stop this and stop it now.

True Paedophiles, the kind that rape little kids, toddlers, and babies should be awarded castration as a minimum sentence if there is no doubt of guilt.

Justice Served.

If the Leftest start championing their sickness as normal, I certainly hope people will finally speak out against the insanity.

Well it's certainly not singularly a leftist problem;

Milo Yiannopoulos

"We get hung up on this sort of child abuse stuff to the point where we are heavily policing consensual adults,” Yiannopoulos says in the clip.

Such as the statement above, what I observe is a very slow but gradual chipping away at the idea that pedophilia, aside from being illegal, is not utterly grotesque. A couple of weeks ago I actually heard a "comedian" who was gay, joking about the local pedo. I mean FFS, really?

I thought for sure this has to do with the Hilldogs supporter/campaigniner.

Why is it that pedos are getting all of this spotlight lately?

Because they should never be out of it, getting away with it.

A) I would like to know the particulars of the case..

Did he have hundreds of child porn saved on his laptop or was it a played up charge like a 16 year old sent an 18 year old a naked pic??

B) So when did a human rights Commission have the authority to levee fines??

My guess is it doesn’t. That is why the bank is refusing and the story doesn’t say “State of Mississippi” or whatever..

Seems like a BS story o it’s face value..

You should have chosen B.

There is indeed an agenda to "normalize" pedophiles as a part of the LGBTQ community.

Has been for years now.

Just part of the liberal agenda to expand the base.

So nothing new here, nothing to see, please carry on...

The available facts say he lied on his employment application.
That would seem to be sufficient ground for termination no matter what he lied about.

I am glad I didn’t have to interview the Paedophile. My HR manager often warn’s me of such employeement traps. What you can ask and more to the point what you cannot. When I consider a paedophile and children like perhaps my grandchildren, well personally I think a tall tree and a short rope will get the job done. I’m sure you get it, and I have that rope. I just hope I never need to use it.

OH FOR *SNIP*'s SAKE!!!

Meanwhile, people who could actually use such a job are denied because they couldn't get through the imbecilic 'personality' questions, or didn't know the HR's relatives well enough. I smell a damn stinky rat.

Seems the problem is they are in it, and are *also* getting away with it- and probably with a grin, I might add.

Says the person who took the knee jerk response.

Plenty of information readily available online about B.

Feel free to ignore it though and pass out on-high your lofty opinion.

Ever been a member of the LGBTQ community?

Insert your knee-jerk response here.
