In my opinion it is that false equivalency that is the problem and why I think an objective measurement of the issue is important..

I also don’t think it is about political parties.. I’m not part or a member of any political party either, nor am I a fan of politician in general,

I don’t think it is equal at all.. I think those ewho think it is equal have been taking right omg media’s word for it.

When was the last time Fox News fires someone for publishing a fake story??

HAVE THEY EVER FIRED SOMEONE FOR A FAKE STORY?!?!

At the exact same time it came out that Brian Williams lied about being in a helicopter that was shot at , then was fired for what was a BS lie on.a talk show...

Bill Orielly completely fabricated being in the fauklens war and saving his camera mans life and didn’t miss a show.

I don’t think it is even close to equal and I would bet dollars to donuts an objective measurement would show that.

Funny no one has said..

“I’m down to prove the opposition lies more. Let’s set something up”.

I disagree and I think an objective test would show that..

We take a set time period and pick 2 sources considered to have equal credibility amongst each political faction .

And see how many stories are objectively logical fallacies..

Whoever has the most fake stories that week “wins”.

Do that a few dozen times and we could objectively say who is lying more.

I think it is a legitimate way to establish who’s base/media is the farthest from reality and pushes known fabrications more often.

So you don't think right leaning media sources are accurate.

Glad we have that one record then!

I came to the conclusion that both right and left media were equally bias during the bush years long before this fake news stuff even got started.

When was the last time Fox News fires someone for publishing a fake story??

This doesn't factor into whether or not I feel like a news story is pushing the spin.

I don’t think it is even close to equal and I would bet dollars to donuts an objective measurement would show that.

If you can set up a none biased test that proves this I will agree with it.

No, I don’t think calling them “right-wing media” is accurate.

Well then why do you think its ok to call them "left-wing" media, just curious about the thinking behind your question.

Because one propagandized story a week does not equal 5 stories or 10 or a sestemic problem..

Every media source has screwed up, but a plethora of fake stories or a souring lack of fake stories would prove once and for all what the real truth behind the “fake news” narrative.

If one source puts out 12 propaganda stories and the other puts out 1 and that one is debatable..

Then those 2 media sources were obviously not created equal, were they?

So do you put fox up against each other one individually or how does that work? Also how can you claim equitability with one mainstream "right" leaning news organizations against multiple mainstream "left" news organizations.

The radio and podcasts are mostly right leaning news programs.

The logic is that there are two sides to the spectrum, left and right. Why call one side right, while refusing to call the other side left?

Fox News, daily wire, brietbart, newsmax, truepundit.. ect.

As far as my test I would only take the big boys.

It wouldn’t be fair to compare CNN and infowars..

Hell I don’t even think it would be fair to compare CNN and Fox.. lol

That’s why I said msnbc..

And Just the “big boys.”

Infowars lately has been conservative propaganda , but that really falls squarely into the “conservative conspiracy media”

This was from 2014, I would suggest those dynamics have swayed some since then. What we're learning about that they did not report on then may also change it as well.
