However, thanks to this mans stupidity, he had to make it political.
He MADE it political? I'd counter that wearing a MAGA hat is political.

Was the customer promoting and pushing an agenda or narrative? That would result in his expulsion?
Him wearing his hat and remaining respectful to the community is no different then a dude wearing a Company slogan or sports team hat.

If there was a stated dress code with 'no hats' on the policy, which there wasn't, then I can understand, otherwise tough shizz, have fun looking for a new job.

Not that was reported. Although wearing any hat while dining is poor form.

Hardly. What "company" or team does a MAGA hat represent? I'm not defending the action but you said the manager made it political. I contend the hat made it political.

Because your cultural norm is the only one that is acceptable? Many middle eastern people would tell you uncovering the head would be poor form.

The restaurant is a place of public accomodation, wearing a hat is not a danger to public health nor was it disrupting business.
Intrepid, the laws regarding public accommodation in Canada are simliar to the US, yes?

For every story we hear about, I wonder how many we aren't hearing?
How many subtle acts of discrimination are going on that we never hear about?

How much food is being spit in MAGA wearing people's food?
Where else is this discrimination being done?

Why am I not surprised that you find free expression distasteful.
Two days later, manager is fired because of the incident.

Eventually, we will hear about cleaning fluid in someone's meal. Mark my words.

It used to be a cultural value that politics and religion stay out of the work place. Whatever happened to that?
