I saw the thread and discussion on it, I wasn’t saying anything about it’s origin or whether it’s a real project I just said it’s ugly in my opinion.
ETA sorry I see where you were coming from my bad I was saying that’s all I know in a purely metaphorical sense.

Doesn’t look like it would have very good ITST signature with the outlet being so close to the tail of the aircraft they tried but I don’t think being mounted only a foot or two from the tail will do much to mask the IR signature. The music isn’t that bad have me an early 90’s action movie flashback.

The actual engine is a decent bit forward from the nozzle. There are several tricks that you can't see to reduce the signature to various degrees.

it's also a model they decided not to go forward with. This was just a taxi test. The Shadow Star appears to be more along the lines of what may go into production.

Looks decent. Unlike China, Russia make jet engines. High powered ones. Seems like they'll use RD-33MK in this.
