Sounds like a trap facebook is using to scan all messages of users without getting a lot of hell for it under the guise you don't want bad things to happen and the only way we can stop it is to read through everyone's messages. Then they can get more meta data on you while protecting children. It's a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. Stop nasty ppl trying to hit up kids with the potential of sacrificing more privacy (it that's still a thing) for marketing data or let nasty ppl solicit your kids.

The TED talk made some sense. Ignoring and mocking pedophiles isn't the best route because that leads pedophiles to isolation. Supposedly isolation is the main cause for pedophiles to act on their sexual desires.

I guess being more accepting of pedophile disorder might be good? Therefore, we can get them psychological help and help prevent them from molesting children.

Out of little to no knowledge I have in psychology, I think kids do experience forms of sexuality. I think Freud or someone suggested that sexuality comes out at a young age then suppressed until puberty.

In either case, nobody wants to see a adolescent or younger touch themselves except pedos. Even if you're trying to be edgy, you can hint at it. Not show it, that's just messed up.

Not that it matters to the brainwashed, with their prefabricated parrot pullstring lines , but attraction to a teenage girl is not pedophilia.

Pedophilia is mental sickness, hebophilia is only social taboo.

here is my take on pedophilia

humans for many generations bred when the female/male body was ready , around 12 or 13 at puberty (not sure if this is fact just a theory) , as a species which was in a fight for survival against other predatory species , and nature we had to ensure our survival through breeding and passing on the best genes!
So humans naturally bred as early as possible to ensure the group survival and the passing of genes from one generation to the next.
As humans evolved and so to did our cultures societies , we then started to overcome nature and no longer were in direct competition with nature so we then changed our breeding practices.

The fact that some men have sexual relations with kids I think is some sort of throwback to our ancestoral primitive roots!
these men just simply havent gotten out of that behavioural brain cycle and caught up with the rest of civilisation .

Along the same lines as to what is happening with men in general at the moment, we were once relied upon to provide , shelter, food , and protection for our families etc
now we no longer need that directly from men as we have mastered technology to provide this for us .

So now what happens is society rallies against that which is a throw back to our primitive selves!

Am I right? who knows , possibly, there must be some small mote of truth to it !
I dont think punishing pedophiles with corporal punishment is right, we need to address the root cause , treat it on a case by case basis , where pedophiles have caused harm and damage, then it must be treated with exceptional care , punishment must be a punishment , but also at the same time, people are still human , no matter how inhumane their actions are. WHilst having sex with children is morally repugnant I dont see it as horrible as cutting someone into tiny pieces and then eating them. Sex with minors whilst morally abhorrent is not as inhumane and visciously cruel or disgusting as killing butchering people in a bloodbath.
It is wrong no doubt about it , but it wasnt wrong 300,000 years ago , as its the reason we are really all here!

So for pedophiles who havent committed any illegal acts, but have expressed they feel this way towards children, then they have admitted they have guilt and express their desire to be helped , we should help them! No matter how upsetting or pandering to criminals etc , its clearly an issue they have little control over! (or do they) , we havent studied it that much

For those who have harmed , they need to recognise that what they have done is wrong.
but we will never get anywhere if we dont look to the cause!
we cant lock them up and forget about them, we cant kill them !
we should just try to understand and help them! no matter how bad a taste it leaves in the mouth

The idea is already gathering support by page three.

it may be a trap, that is the fbi might be flagging anyone who votes favorably toward it, but i dont think that was the outcome that facebook intended.

Sadly, we now live in a world where an incredible number of little girls hit puberty not at 12 or 13 but at 9 or 10. So yeah, there are nine-year-olds who do that. And it absolutely does NOT belong in film.

Ah, there are the shallow attempts to equate sexual orientation and gender identity with pedophilia!

The difference of course in "being born that way" and pedophilia is that the former regards adults.

Pedophilia is a crime because it does harm to children, and this will always be the case.

I do find it fascinating though that these threads about pedophilia are almost always started by certain groups .... It's almost like there is some sick fascination on the part of a few folks.
