ANNAPOLIS, Md. (ABC7) — A large police presence has been reported 800 block of Bestgate Road, Annapolis for reports of a shooting Thursday afternoon, police say.

Foxnews saying the police sent them an update stating "there may be additional shooters and there may be bombs" - nothing confirmed yet, so just need to see what gets reported, "authorities believe they may have the only suspect"...

Police think only one gunman.

If the shooter was an employee or ex-employee, than this is probably more of a "workplace" -type mass shooting, in which the motives are known and understandable.

Compare that to other well-publicized mass shootings in which there is no relationship between perp and victims, and the motives are never known.

Reminder that the Wray/Rosenstein Russia hearing just wrapped up... but it looks like we have something else to talk about this news cycle.

MSNBC's "lead investigating source" just stated that no confirmed fatalities nor a subject in custody.

This is strange.

Shep Smith just reported that one of the victims texted “There is nothing more terrifying than being under a desk and hearing people getting shot, and then the shooter reload”.

I bet it’s even worse when you have zero way to defend yourself. Condolences to the victims and their families.

He shot through a glass door and opened fire on people.

Sometimes news stations choose to not confirm fatalities until the police say a number. Most other sources are reporting that there are. The Crime Reporter from the paper on Twitter said the guy shot through the front door and shot multiple people in his office. He said its very bad in there.

There's an intern for the newspaper who tweeted that a man some are identifying as the editor, was among those shot:

His Capital Gazette profile identifies him as a writer for the paper though and editor of the Bowie Blade-News and the Crofton-West County Gazette.

Based on what im hearing it sounds like the entire building was a target. So I'd say they targeted the paper. No evidence yet as to why though.
