I see threads with the usual tit for tat dumbassery, and I shake my head. Then in looking through the responses, I see the people who make me smile. The social Justice folks who came to admonish the OP. If a thread is stupid, and all it does is cause fighting, you stepping in to fight for your side, isn't helping. Laughing and walking away to a more productive thread, now that may help.

Quit trying to make everyone believe you are some virtuous savior, you are just another idiot, like the rest of us.
