the poster said we did not take in germans

the poster was wrong

you are not making sense based on the conversation

your logic that a ban would have prevented us from obtaining that talent is completely illogical because

you dig yourself a deep hole

i never said or implied any such

you just seek to be decisive

take a deep breath and focus on states rights if you want the usa to be around
edit on 26-6-2018 by howtonhawky because: (no reason given)

Having the authority to implement the ban means the ban is Constitutional. The President cannot have authority to perform an unconstitutional act.

Logical fallacy: attempting to extrapolate from a general statement to a specific statement.

No, we did not take in Germans via normal immigration channels. We were killing them before they could kill us.

deeper and deeper

if a ruling goes against the constitution it is up to the people exercising power to recognize that.

kinda like the kid who just found a gun in a department store so she picked it up and fired it

the gun was there and it should not have been and just because it was there does not give anyone the right to use it.

OK, no one over the age of 2 could be that wrong on that many things and legitimately continue to debate without feeling some shame.

Hope you had fun stirring the pot.

Incorrect. Ruling the president has the authority is not the same as ruling on the constitutionality of the order itself. That appears to be why Roberts said this: "We express no view on the soundness of the policy".

They have clearly separated authority from the "soundness of the policy".

totally meaningless and senseless non point

you have nothing but disdain for me and the truth.

all while failing to see the legitimate threats to the constitution and your personal freedom as you defend your captors.

enjoy your stay.

you earned it

As I read it, Introvert ... yeah, SCOTUS ruled that this action is within the scope of the President's authority under Article II.

Soundness, is it a good policy. They are not saying whether they think it's good or not, only that it's Constitutional.
