It makes no difference whether the left is assaulting the right in a restaurant or a theater or the right is assaulting the left in front of a statue. Violence is not ok, period.

We're fighting each other... over government. We're allowing the government and the media to manipulate us into fighting each other over them. Over them.

How ridiculous is that?

Seriously... so the millenials are not responsible for their actions huh, someone did something they didnt like so their actions are no longer their own???

I hope to god its sarcasm I missed, cause other wise... we need an asteroid strike... zombie apocalypse... pandemic... something to wipe the slate clean cause we are screwed.

I didnt like Obama, never would have considered harrasing people out with their familes... but I apparently am a Nazi, yet I didnt even vote for trump but I support some of the stuff he does and apparently thats enough.

FFS...

I hate my government and love my country. How about you? Do you support illegals who live here holding signs at sanctuary city protests saying "Make America Mexico Again"? OH! I hated my corrupt government long before Trump! To me he is a breath of fresh air making the globalist snip bricks! McCain is on his way out, and his boyfriend Lindsey seems lost. Pelosi, Schumer, and just about every other career politician are losing their minds? Great time to be alive watching these rats try and swim to the surface for a breath of fresh air.

The fact you see a difference in the 2 parties tells me you are still clueless! It's all about money and getting re elected to these vermin and if you think otherwise, then pat yourself on the back for being easily manipulated!

Yes. Are you suggesting they are not responsible for their actions and somehow Trump is to blame for that too?

I know you people hate the idea of personal responsibility but this is next level ....

Exactly, we're allowing the government and the media to manipulate us and get us angry over dozens out of millions standing with some signs that could have been made for them.

And then the other side is going to go ballistic over some other dozen people out of millions holding other signs to rile them up.

Our country is not going to fall apart from dozens or hundreds of people standing around with these signs, but will fall apart from the millions foaming at each other over it. We need to calm down and think rationally. All of us. I'm trying to as well, I'm not pointing fingers.

Unfortunately, with free speech being put into the box of hate speech, we have to be able to point fingers to solve our MANY problems.

The Constitution is the KEY! Yet I see so many whom have been brain washed by our college system think our Constitution is wrong and bad because it was written by WHITE MEN? Because, our history as a country has some issues that have since been corrected?

Yes we have to be able to point fingers, we also need grown ups who are willing to love free speech and be willing to have their feelings hurt listening to someone who thinks differently than they do?

I don't think we need to point fingers, at least not at each other, I think we need to find ways not to, in fact. I don't think pointing fingers has ever solved a problem, from kindergarten to high government.

And Constitution IS key. We have to make sure it is obeyed, but we have to do so peacefully.

The government has a contingency plan for every situation, except peace... and peaceful protest. The only way to get anything done is to uphold the Constitution, through peaceful protest.

A shred of violence and we're on their terms.

I will politely disagree. Everyone seems to be so pampered and taught that anything that is said to them that might hurt their feelings is WRONG, it is time for some tough love! How can you solve a problem, find a solution when you have to walk on egg shells so as not to offend someone? Sometimes the solution lies behind what some may consider the hurtful truth.

Step by step. I really don't know, I'm no Gandhi, but I see things going the bad way again, for the second time in my life and I still don't know how to stop it.

I know I can do my part and tell the story of how it went the last time and maybe some will listen. We're all on our own journey, I just hope we end up listening more to each other than we do the government, any government, or the media.

Take care, thanks for the chat.

As to percentage, I don't know, not as many as some of our GOP brethren would have us believe, but there are some...as my last excursion into the local Democratic party meeting indicated.

The hate of all things GOP was palpable, and no dissent is welcome. I was, in essence, shouted out of the building. Before I left, I asked them to add up the number of states with majority Dem held state houses, or Congressional representation, or who was in the White House, right now...and for how long this trend has been in play...

I was ignored.

But, I've got a feeling that there is a push back building. Folks of a more moderated mindset are beginning to tire of it...which is nice, because people like myself, who've been all but shut out for the past thirty years, aren't getting any younger.

Yes, she is. How the woman keeps getting reelected is an utter mystery to me...

Second time in your life? How old are you? I am 55 and NEVER seen CRAZY as I am seeing now. Honestly I have been prepping somewhat for the past 3 years. This is no accident we have come to this point, and rest assured we can all point our fingers at Washington DC and our career politicians and the MSM for conditioning us as a society to get to this breaking point?

Nice chatting with you also! We usually debate in brutal verbal combat.

I came from Southern Europe, the Balkans. Lost some people in my family, some friends... I was in high school when it all started. Watched as the kids turned on each other, families and friends with split nationalities and so on. I was in the war in Bosnia and Croatia. Then I got deployed to Kosovo with the US Army when I came here. So if this grows into a civil war, it will be my fourth.

Wait until this catches up with the kids and when they start fighting each other in schools over their parents' political beliefs. And then it gets worse.

Ah, so you equate a privately made vote for someone you don't like with very open and public harassment. This is part of the problem.

I am with you. This trend frightens me.

People aren't even trying anymore. If they aren't getting their way, they're resorting to force through bullying and intimidation, and once you've gone there, it's only a matter of time before there is real violence.

I don't know what they're thinking, but honestly, I really suspect they're not, only feeling.
