For me its in order:
1. Independence Day. Welcome to earf! Nuff said
2. Red Dawn (original). Because most americans have fantasized about fighting a guerrilla war against a russian occupation at some point.
3. Team America. Funny and unfortunately may be the most accurate movie on the list.
4. The Patriot. Mel Gibson stabs someone with a flag. You can go nuts analyzing the layers in which that in an unintended metaphor.
5. Air Force One. Back when Harrison Ford and airplanes had a better relationship.

Okay, so I dont have an actual playlist for the day, typically its a party day and the lake I grew up on it was a sort of annual spiritual pilgrimage sort of affair (its cold up there most of the year and in Michigan home of the Motor City being "American" is a bigger deal than anywhere else)...

One should be outside unless too busy to be (or watch moives)!

But movies that might help set the mood...

SCIFI: Independence Day (1985)
HORROR: Silver Bullet (1985)
COMEDY: Team America (2004)
HISTORY: The Patriot (200)
WAR: Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Oooh, easy one! Independence Day! I watch it every year without fail.

It's just one of those movies that I never tire of - kinda like Twister, Resident Evil, Alien and Predator.
