It's been quite a spectacle to observe this "Social Justice" thingamajig, as it seems the tip of their spear is everything to do with "trans". You see the central tenet of all that scene is they aren't "binary". Yet what for over a decade I've been calling "Binary Mentality", that's all else I see screaming from their lips.

The term "Binary" comes from the likes of Binary Code (computation in only 1's or 0's), or Base 2 Mathematics, or for the laymen Bicycle (only has 2 wheels).

My fascination with it came quickly as I got online and got to debating politico types, and studying all this Social Psychology and Two Party System stuff I'm always carrying on about.

For the transgender dynamic, 'normally' there is 'only' Male & Female. And then there's the 'third option' Transgendered, although I think the "Gender Studies" people are up to roughly over 243 other genders by the time anyone reads this.

Any ways, my point of contention with "Binary Mentality" began in observing "Republican's" and "Democrat's" always bickering, always blaming each other for everything, all that Us Vs. Them divided & conquered society stuff that is like my ultimate pet peeve. This idea that there is only "left wing" and only "right wing". But I also started noticing humans have this innate tendency towards this polarized society sort of aspect, as at home it was always Christian's versus Atheists (where to Christian's I've found Agnostics are "the same thing" as Atheists, and to Athiest's "agnostics are actually Athiests". We see it as a sort of meme with its always the "red team" versus the "blue team". Caucasians are "white" and people of primarily African decent are "Black" Always polar opposites it seems, like it just has to be in our nature (meaning we can be wholesale manipulated by this human aspect, en masse). Even look over in the world of Islam, it's the Sunni versus the Shia. UK versus IRA. Capitalism versus Communism.

On. Off.

Yes. No.

White. Black.

Light. Dark.

0. 1. 0. 1. 0. 1.

As if nature doesnt actually 'only' come more in spectrums, than not. Nope. No shades of grey in nature. No way!

Here this graphic I made some 12 years ago to use in my endless blogs criticizing this kind of stuff:

So then we have this transgender thing, and once again nature proves the spectrum principle.

But now trans whatever has been wholesale politicized into Two Party'ism, with the side that has sharpened the tip of it's spear with trans, wholesale all about polarizing Identity Politics these days.

And we're seeing human nature run amok against itself with this stuff.

If you criticize Democrat trans policy, no matter how shortsighted or unethical, you're an evil Republican / "conservative".

I've been taking mental notes for two years now since I tuned back into society and all this is all the rage. And almost without exception it seems, the sort of people you see go nuts over this trans kind of stuff are as rabid into this Two Party'ism Binary Mentality as anyone I've ever seen.

Now note that not everyone crazy over pushing the Non-Binary thing are actually transgendered or trans whatever. And of course to their opposition, they're all got mental illness (above and beyond the angle of Gender Dysphoria being a mental illness if we're going to have an honest discussion that is, of course).

But the bitch of it all is, when you observe them the opponents of the team that go nuts about this gender stuff that is, they all act the same way too. They just have a different polarized viewpoint on the trans matter (and the other matters that the two teams are (not so) 'magically' split straight own the middle on no matter how contradictory the various positions collide with the rest of their 'most cherished' positions.

Welcome to Crazy World.

It fascinates me why some people are so bothered by other people's gender or sexual preferences.

Because I could care less about those things. Let people do what they want to with their own lives - live and let live. It therefore fascinates me why others do get so bothered. Is it a control issue? Do some people like to control others and get bothered when they can't? This is one of many questions I have.

It's definitely a control issue. That and a lot of people are just really nosy about other people's genitalia and sex lives. Those people use politics, social norms, and religion as excuses to look into other people's sex lives. But as long as it's consensual adults, then everyone else should just butt out.

Why would someone else's gender or sexual preference affect me personally? I am not them, therefore they do not affect me. Pretty simple really.

And on the flip side, those who want attention and special treatment for their "chosen gender" use it as a political tool to silence free speech and control how others are allowed to think.

Some sort of balance needs to be found.

It's so sad that some people feel they have to control others. Are they making up for their own shortcomings perhaps? Whatever excuse they use, whether it be religion, politics, "safety" or whatever.....in the end it's about controlling others.

I don’t care at all what people’s sexual preferences or identities are, as long as between adults.

At the same time, the whole thing has become absurd with dozens of “genders” and sexual identities. Same with the pronoun and bathroom wars. It’s important to remember that some of these folks also attack cis hetero identity, and often latch it on to other identity politics targets such as white males.

Part of socio cultural study and debate is indeed analyzing sub cultures and trends.

It's ironic that you say "attention and special treatment" because I just saw a cartoon about that yesterday on another website (here's the link). It pretty much obliterates that narrative & it reminds me of one of the reasons I started supporting LGBT rights in the first place.

Where I'm from in the South, nobody ever talked about the way that hospital visitation rights, insurance policies, and inheritance laws discriminated against them. That stuff and the unequal treatment they got in work environments, in social settings, from religious narratives, etc helped me realize that the "special treatment" argument was almost completely BS.

I'm not sure why you would say that about Christians seeing agnostics and atheists as the same. Atheists are more like Christians than agnostics are actually. Atheists are sure there is nothing IME. That takes as much faith as believing there is something.

Agnostics at least say they don't know, and that is the closest to the true state of our tangible knowledge - no one really knows in the sense of being able to prove. Certainly not Christians or atheists either one.

But a true person of faith only needs faith.

They do it because it's fashionable right now to attack anything perceived as part of a dominant culture group. That's because dominant culture groups are by definition of being dominant considered to also be oppressor culture groups by default.

Personally, I don’t want to know about anyone’s sex life, heterosexuals included. I know a lot of lesbian girls that play softball for me, but it never comes up and that is just fine and the way I like it to be. Keep, that crap to yourself and play ball.
