Paradox of Tolerance
Philosopher Karl Popper defined the paradox in 1945 in The Open Society and Its Enemies Vol. 1 (in note 4 to Chapter 7).
TLDR for challenged:
If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.
Would you like to know more?
I don't have to TOLERATE intolerance, bigotry ect.
A similar quote is attributed to Huey Long, a populist Senator from Louisiana, in books and magazines of the 1930s, and 40s: “When fascism comes to America it will be called anti-fascism.” Long was assassinated in 1935 and it’s unclear if he said this, or if it was invented after his assassination. But Churchill never said it.

Unsurprisingly, you must not have actually read my posts on this thread. I've already said the restaurant had a right to refuse service- even if I disagree with that result.
Do I have a problem with your view? Yes.
I've think people who think like you are dangerous.
I wouldn't serve her because she's a hateful bigot and complicit in atrocities, and serving her would against my deeply held beliefs.

I think we should look on the bright side.
She and her family weren't killed by the staff at the restaurant. They were allowed to live.
Thank you for sparing her life and those of her children.
I always tip extra for that.

Sanders "politely" left.
Oddly, does not say owner of restaurant "politely" asked her to leave - - after requesting Sanders to follow her to another room so conversation was private.
Seems there are different degrees of "politeness".
The rest of the party was not asked to leave, although they did.
They offered to pay, but where told it was not necessary.
