In Bloomberg's recent piece titled "What Democratic Rage Would Look Like" they examined how the left will react when they suffer greater losses during this midterm election cycle. In it, the author states a startling opinion shared by many others: that we're already engaged in a type of "soft" civil war.

While this may sound like a watered down version of civil conflict, it is anything but. In fact, the first American civil war started on precisely the same conditions after years of cultural infighting and division on a vast array of issues.

So what do you think, ATS? Is Bloomberg correct in this harassment and if so, will the left cease their provocations/sore loser attitude before its too late?

It feels as though another political Rubicon was crossed.

"I think we're at the beginning of a soft civil war," political scientist Thomas Schaller said in a telephone interview. "I don't know if the country gets out of it whole."

The heightened conflict of recent weeks led to more ominous rhetoric — anyone else notice the abundance of Nazi references from sane people? — and more definitive, unequivocal acts.

www.bloomberg.com...

Scary prospect. But this is precisely what the revolutionary socialists who have infiltrated our Constitutional Republican government are aiming for. Infiltrators/subversives and flag-burners like Allison Hrabar (DOJ socialist) to disgraced and discharged cadet Lt. Spenser Rapone (AKA Commie Cadet) have been abusing their public positions to further their cultural war against the justice loving American right.

The problem isn't only with the democrats, the issue lies within the current iteration of our political system and its corrupted bipartisan schema. The GOP has had instances and proponents who are far from angels too, yet many of them are acting like their # doesn't stink.

Also, the constant berating, baiting, name calling of dems is probably not helping things, either.

I honestly hope that two more parties become actualized and insulated from corporate and special interest manipulation, such as the libertarian and independent parties.

Agreed. If it wasn't so damn important to hold on to control at all costs, I'd vote libertarian every single time. Sadly, our current system (which is greatly flawed, as the socialists are showing us) does not lend credibility to non-major parties. In order to win, backing a major party is almost a requirement.

Otherwise, I'd vote my true beliefs: Libertarian

I'd like to point out that my OP criticizes/attacks revolutionary socialists not democrats. Many democrats are completely opposed to their party's lurch to the far-left.

I'd like to point out that stopping socialists from imposing their false government on us is a Constitutional right. Article 4 Section 4 US Constitution guarantees each state a Republican form of government (A Constitutional republic, not the GOP political party). Socialism is not compatible with our Constitution.

Does this mean I now have to move back to NYC and rejoin my people?
Or am I still going to be safe at Tractor Supply? Cause I’m out of chicken feed.

I largely agree with your additional points. While registered independent, I take on a lot of libertarian values. I understand your thread pretty well, but I cannot stand the political dogma that we see so often these days. Its such an easy way to keep the plebians divided and distracted.

😁Priceless response...

It has been intensifying. Anyone notice how far these sociopaths will go to excuse their own sides behavior (shooting suspects, criminals, illegal aliens, corruption, antifa violence, Obama keeping kids in cages, Hillary lies, etc) while demonizing every last piece of fake news they get their hands on RE: Americans?

For instance, their fake Russia-collusion-paranoia scandal that is tanking. Their fake outrage RE: our Constitutional rights (including 1A, 2A, 14A) Their subversion of our duly elected President including the mechanisms by which we select our President (electoral college). Their fake outrage and false equivalencies (ie: showing pictures of kids in cages under Obama, but trying to falsely blame Trump for them). Their support for their "brown shirts" who attack conservatives, patriots and/or free speech advocates.

I understand, and I believe a lot of my own posts (here and elsewhere) stem from the outrage regarding what I'm seeing going on every single day.

This child separation nonsense is no different. Not only are 80% of children sent unaccompanied to the border, but ANY US child who's parents are arrested will be sent with relatives/DHHR exactly like unaccompanied alien children are.

More false outrage from our disgusting political machine

The system is rigged alright, but rigged against those Americans who support the non-major parties. Heck, unlike (R) and (D) candidates for President, our candidates aren't even given CIA briefings leading up to the election. Shows how serious our government takes this problem

So Bloomberg finally publishes what most of us have known about for a long, long time now ... for far longer than Trump, longer than Obama even?

Excellent OP. Registered Independent here...patiently awaiting the day I can register as U.S. Constitutionalist.

There is no doubt that it is in the interest of the NWO, Agenda 21, Soros, Rothchilds, etc., to start a US Civil War, soft or otherwise. Just wish people would quit believing the US government has their best interests at heart with all its “free” gifts. Nothing is free. There is always a price to be paid, even if it’s “just” SUBSERVIENCE! Live free or die...

Very true

Scary times we are living in, but not unprecedented or unexpected really. Anyone who watched the virulent left foaming at the mouth while their Brownshirt goons attacked first amendment advocates could see this was coming

Hopefully we can split ways peacefully. Either way, I don't see this country emerging as an indivisible whole. In the future, we should be sure to explicitly ban things like socialism/communism and the evils that come with it as well as the failed states left in its wake

Very true
I will be one of the first to change my registration from the bloated/ineffective GOP to the U.S. Constitutionalist party!

Scary though, because many here called this outcome from the start. Specifically, that TPTB were conspiring to start a new civil war to destabilize the country and install their agenda (Chuck Hegel's Hegelian dialectic: problem, reaction, solution). They create the problem, control the reaction and pretend to be the solution

They just didn't count on how many flag/Constitution loving American patriots were still in this country.

Indeed! You and a few others from this thread were among the very first to see this DBC

At the time, I always knew it was a possibility but always figured cooler and saner heads would prevail on the left. But this most recent display of total ignorance and blind adherence to patent lies has changed that. The fact the leftists ignore Obama's caging of children (and the longstanding affect of children being taken from parents who are arrested...even US citizens, not just illegal criminal alien criminals) yet used it as ammo to attack our President told me all I need to know about them.

Just like their fake Russia collusion paranoia, their entire argument(s) are based on bull# and lies.

Is there any hope for a peaceful solution?

For instance, California's effort to separate into 3 states could mirror other efforts. The libertarian principles of non-aggression, voluntary association and private property could all be leveraged to solve this crisis peacefully

Self-governing autonomous regions with a 'Night watchman' state would be a solution

The lack of ability to impose group A's will on group B (and vice versa) is all it would take to end the current crisis

Dems can't win at the voting booths so they want to cry civil war.....that is not how the Constitution is set up.

Any rebellion will be squashed. If they like the Civil War analogy, the US Constitution backing North won, and the South was razed to the ground in Sherman's march.

Trump has already invaded the Blue pocket plantations with record breaking employment for minorities, the battle is over before they had time to crayon their feelings in safe spaces and hug closets across the land.

Its the MSM, take the talking heads who enable and normalise a very small, very vocal and very well resourced minority out of the picture and sanity would quickly restore itself.

But if it does come to war, I can see it going really badly for the left, I almost kinda hope it comes to war
