It was a Russian trying to get an in.
But the buzz word is spy so we milk it for all its worth.

Says the person who cant believe Peter Strzok was escorted out of FBI headquarters demanding proof and claiming the msm didnt cover it all the while the op in that thread linked to a CNN article talking about Strzok being escorted out of FBI headquarters and a press release from Strzoks lawyer discussing it.

You have no room to lecture anyone on anything.

Probably any of the multisyllabic words.

...to hide the truth that the biggest scandal in our country's history is unfolding.

Absolutely without a doubt, but I wonder. I honestly wonder if the American public has the mental fabric to fully grasp what is happening here, to understand the gravity and magnitude of what all this means to them and to the future.

Apathy and media fatigue reigns supreme right now (and has been for a while). I don't think the younger generations understand concepts like true "justice", or even how their government is "supposed" to work. With so much false-contempt and fake news swirling around, to them this is just another news story among a sea of hatred spewed by the media. As you note, this whole scandal is probably one of the biggest scandal's in American history, but will they notice? Will 'the People' take notice, will they stand up and say..."ENOUGH!!" (??) Or, will this just be another news-byte in an ocean of apathy and laziness? In many of their lifetimes they've never seen the government work as it should, they were born and raised into partisan establishment obfuscation and corruption. The roar is deafening, but the media has gone into overdrive to make that roar just "noise" and distraction, roar without focus.

Will they see this for what it truly is? Will they understand that the very last legal backstop in this country is terminally corrupt and diseased at the highest of levels...and that this is NOT how it is supposed to be? Or, will they see it as just another "whatever" moment? Just "another" corrupt and lying bunch of establishment politicians slithering away into the mist and darkness. It comes down to expectations, and I truly wonder if anyone has any expectations of justice anymore.

The media doesn't realize it, but in their zeal to shield their coveted liberal left they have destroyed a nation in the process. They will be all smug in their satisfaction of having protected their precious 'Hillaries' and 'Comeys' and 'Lynches' (etc., etc.), not realizing they have poisoned fully two generations of America's future.

Can it ever recover?

I wonder.

Maybe he was a special agent like Comey's professor friend he leaked classified info to , to have him give it to the press to get a special council started .

They cite records — independently examined by The Post — showing that the man who approached Stone is actually a Russian national who has claimed to work as an FBI informant. Interviews and additional documents show that Greenberg has at times used the name Henry Oknyansky. Under that name, he claimed in a 2015 court filing related to his immigration status that he had provided information to the FBI for 17 years. He attached records showing that the government had granted him special permission to enter the United States because his presence represented a “significant public benefit.”
There is no evidence that Greenberg was working with the FBI in his interactions with Stone, and in his court filing, Greenberg said that he had stopped his FBI cooperation sometime after 2013. Greenberg, in text messages with The Post, denied that he had been acting on the FBI’s behalf when he met with Stone.
An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment, as did a spokesman for Mueller’s office. The meeting took place two months earlier than federal officials have said a counterintelligence operation was officially opened and before WikiLeaks began releasing hacked Democratic emails.

So Attorney #1 is Sally Moyer and Attorney #2 is Kevin Kleinsman, who worked for Trish Anderson in the FBI's Office of General Counsel.

Big reveal.

I didn't know the General Consul performed counterintelligence work.

I think Rosenstein and/or Wray just set themselves up to be fired.

Clapper is another one who seems to be conflicted giving his comments. If the investigation was never into Trump then why the hell did he say Russia tipped the election in his favor? He doesnt get it both way and after trying to claim Trump was colluding with Russia all this time to all of a sudden about face is unusual.

The longer Democrats drag this out the more damage they are doing to themselves when week after week the claims they make are debunked. The latest was IG Horowitz telling the hearing he now believes bias did in fact play a part in decisions surrounding the Clinton investigation. That triggered questions to AG sessions on if he reopened the Clinton investigation.

He had no comment.

Clapper hates Trump, but I think he's realized he's on the losing team, and is trying to switch teams late in the 4th quarter.

Anyone who needed Horowitz to point out the bias in those agents is not only blind but deaf and dumb.

I feel for the people who don't have enough mental capacity to understand bias...

I guess every society needs their sheep...
