Kinda quiet in here today - how about some perfectly executed modern pop?

I'm laughing hysterically today.
Literally had some dumbass online try to convince me he was the real Nikki Sixx.
I let him go on and on, not playing fan girl but testing him.
Quoted lyrics from this song and he had not a clue.
I know Nikki to be highly intelligent post Crue wild years so this was just fun messing back with someone who was trying to mess with me.

The online world, full of creeps weirdos and liars, kinda like real life

Did you watch ''the dirt'' on netflix? I gotta be honest I only knew a couple of Motley Crue songs before that movie, still not my thing but I enjoyed the movie, was a bit like ''this is spinal tap''.

Yes I watched it. I'm a die hard fan for over 30 years so this putz didn't stand a chance fooling me...but I tell ya he played a good game and was very convincing. Profile looked legit and the whole nine yards.

Here's a weird and very obscure little fact: Nikki Sixx is not the first Nikki Sixx. The founding band of the second wave surf revival was Jon and the Nightriders, whose bassist was Nikki Syxx. They played all over SoCal, especially Hollywood. I remember when the Crue came along with Nikki on bass I couldn't believe he would switch over to glam metal. Well it turned out not the same dude.

Here's a live clip from 1981 at the Whiskey - I bet Motley's Nikki was in the crowd

I could sit with you for hours just going through records, I don't know if I have said this before but I always like your picks, we have a similar taste in many ways.

I honestly have no idea the end game because I was too busy trying to verify the account and report it. No it wasn't Reddit.
Either way , buddy got his ass ban hammered .

Thanks man, much appreciated, Yes our tastes are very similar (and wide ranging to boot). I enjoy your picks also!

I spent most of my time between '79 and around '85 working a journeyman's job during the day and rehearsing or playing out with my buddies in our band at night. Saturday I would blow my paycheck at ZED Records (an amazing punk/new wave/import store) then if we weren't playing that night we'd head up to Hollywood and catch whatever show we could find.
Now I'm an old dude with nothing to show for it but a ton of 80's vinyl and a cookie jar full of show stubs
.
Those were fun times.
