We always argue, like it's one way or the other, never considering other options. We don't need to separate families.
We can have compassion and still stop families from crossing the border.
How hard would that be? If we catch a family crossing the border...we round them up and we "detain' them until we can return them. All the while keeping them together. It's really not that hard. LOL

So two strikes against them, crossing illegally without seeking asylum and trafficking children.

...and what facility do we detain these families in? They can't traverse from Mexico to the USA without going through horror stories of being raped and mugged by fellow illegals (among other predators), yet we can place them in joint detention centers and magically not have veritable rape and molestation clearance houses forming within federal property walls? Bullcrap! The present solution is the only solution to handle these illegals (children included) between capture and release back into the countries they actually belong in.

Yea, until you put them in cages, then that will be the big issue. What if.......we found a way to stop them from crossing in the first place............nope, I can't think of a single thing to help in that department.

I say 3... it is incredibly dangerous to cross the border illegally...days in the desert, or some sketch dude cramming you in a semi-truck. it should come with a mandatory "endangering the welfare of a minor" charge as well IMHO.
According to a stunning Fusion investigation, 80 percent of women and girls crossing into the U.S. by way of Mexico are raped during their journey.
[SNIP]
Rape can be perpetrated by anyone along the way, including guides, fellow migrants, bandits or government officials

And, serious question, where do we capture them at? In El Paso....walking down main street San Antonio...or literally right at the border? Still not good to rip families apart. And I'd like to ad that it would be pretty easy to tell if there was an actual family crossing the border as apposed to a random group of creepy guys and children. Just saying. Maybe they should hire us instead of the idiots they have down there now?

Once you convince your cult followers that immigrants from Latin American countries are rapist, drug dealing animals, they will see these people as less than them, hence all the bootlickers here defending this travesty. You have zero morals. Less than zero.
exactly.. but logic dictates that you would still keep a group together with the children they crossed with. At least at first. You don't just rip children away.. That's how you figure out what's really going on. Still pretty easy.
