The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confinned by then-FBI Director James 8. Corney in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including: (i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump;

Appointment of Special Counsel

The matter under investigation is not "did they get anything?" but more at "who did they talk to/coordinate with."

That answer is clear in this circumstance.

Sure, they can look at who they met with. But that in and of itself isnt a crime, right?

Meeting with a foreign agent to help interfere in a Federal election isn't a crime?

No, Even if they had purchased that info, that isn't illegal. Information gathering isn't illegal, per se. Otherwise, every negative news add from the BBC would be an illegal interference with the U.S. election. Same goes for the dossier from a former British M15 (or M16?) purchased by the Hillary campaign.

What agents of a foreign government did Hillary/DNC meet with again?

FISA warrants as you well know are issued by judges. Do you have evidence that the judge acted inappropriately?

Nothing? 15 indictments of Russians, Manafort, Flynn, etc. either guilty or in jail? That's hardly nothing.

As far as I understand it, Mueller's Investigation is not targetting Mr. Trump ... hasn't that been established?

The 15 Russians' only crime was not listing as foreign agents, not the actions they took in themselves, i.e., posting on social media. Manafort was indicted for lying to the FBI, not for collusion, and he is in jail because he spoke to a witness and the prosecutor called that witness tampering as an excuse to throw him in jail. Although it has been stated that they are not targeting Trump, but they are targeting his campaign, therefore--effectively-- this is all about Trump. They are not "targeting" him because they are fishing for something to stick to him. So far.... nothing

From in or around 2014 to the present , Defendants knowingly and intentionally conspired with each other (and with persons known and unknown to the Grand Jury) to defraud the United States by impairing, obstructing, and defeating the lawful functions of the government through fraud and deceit for the purpose of interfering with the U.S. political and electoral processes , including the presidential election of 2016.

Actually I was thinking of the story where Roger attempted to contact Wikileaks for dirt on Hillary, it would appear this is something new. Still doesn't equate to collusion though, he can seek out dirt on Trumps opponents if he wishes, he wasn't even working on the Trump campaign team anyway.

Well I don't see where the article claims that Stone lied about the meeting... it says this is a newly revealed meeting and people involved have been interviewed about it. Also the way this is being framed is very misleading, like this meeting was collusion with "the Russians" when actually it seems to be one Russian guy who lived in the U.S. and the article says he worked for the FBI for over a decade. Also all parties involved seem to agree that nothing came from the meeting because Trump wouldn't pay 2 mill for dirt on Hillary. Perhaps Stone didn't mention it until now because he didn't see the relevance and didn't want to give a reason for people to attack him without justification.

That sounds like the lefty media.

Half the extras in the shoot I was on yesterday, were Russian.

Should I be worried?

Not real important. But it does show once again that Stone is a liar. Or at least that he did have contacts with Russians about dirt on Clinton. Whether or not he knew it at the time. Yet another active solicitation toward the Trump campaign.

If you look at this from and outside in perspective, Russia tried to warn Trump about how scummy Hillary was, and he didn't buy into it. he ran his campaign without getting that dirt. I'd say that reflects good on Trump. Thanks for bringing this to light.

What details do you believe were kept from the judge? Because it was in there as a foot note that Clinton's team had paid. Even though some claimed it was not. Some claimed that judges don't read the footnotes in the application. That is a false assumption. Knowing the importance of these warrsnts the judges do not skip over any evidence that is submitted or rush through the process and we know this because they denied warrants as often as they granted them.
And didn't the FBI say that it was the information they got from the Australian that Papadopoulos spoke with in a London wine bar that started the procsss?
Yes.
Are you ignoring information so the conspiracy theory still works?

Hillary paid a USA company not a foreigner. The company that Hillary paid sub contracted a foreigne Christopher Steele and it was Mr Steele who spoke with the Russian and Ukrainian informants. And in case you missed this part... The DNC didn't use any information they obtained and this seems to be an important sticking point with the meeting in trump tower.
And last why is there so much importance attached to the warrant on Carter Page when he was in contact with Russians AND had already left the trump campaign when the warrant was ultimately issued?

Not reporting the meeting IS lying about it.
When asked about contact with foreigners during the campaign most trump associates seem to have them but seemed never to remember them until an email turns up talking about it.
Why do all these people keep lying about these contacts?
