We are in a totally unique to humanity situation thats completely u predictable

Nothing unique about it. The same happened in the 1930's and late 80's.

Be prepared to pick up bargains after the next crash.

Provided the government does not intervene.

What do privately owned construction companies have to do with climbing the corporate ladder?

They are all making the same money they made 20-30 years ago? Get a bankruptcy lawyer and fast.

How many draftsman and designers do you need in a privately owned local plumbing company? Unless you are doing a lot of commercial projects the answer is zero.

I am not sure what your point was other than that your family businesses have not kept up with the times.

When you start out by comparing the US to other countries, you're already off on the wrong foot. Many of these other countries haven't had time for the stagnation that has happened in the US. Much of the rest of the world was devastated by a massive war relatively recently (WW2) while most US citizens lived in relative safety.

What I'm saying is that if you build yourself a new house, everything will seem fine for a while.....until it starts falling apart. Some long-established countries (like the UK) have been able to somewhat postpone this rot by making drastic renovations periodically but they won't escape it forever.

Anyway, most of human history is people trying to do the impossible. The goal of government is impossible. That's to say that it's a machine that will never be sustainable. It runs on blood sweat and tears. People who figure that out will stop feeding it if they're able to.

Equality is not a real thing. It's a dream. It doesn't exist. It doesn't WANT to exist. WE want it to. Nature doesn't.
