If a mod closes a thread "pending staff review", should the author of said thread receive a warning, a reason why, and maybe an update on the said review?

I don't think I ever got a closed for staff review, so I do not know.

Are you aware that the "message" envelope doesn't light up nowadays?
Have you checked your messages to see if a warning has been sent?

Now we're talking. I guess I had an "ill-mannered post removed", but nothing about the thread. I suppose that is enough to do it?

As is the case with all actions, to ask us about an action, just hit the Alert button. We never, ever discuss actions openly, only in private with the person involved.
