So I see a video on Facebook of Trump praising Kim Jun Un as to his people sitting at attention when he speaks. He then says he wants his people to do the same for him.

Are we his people?

Maybe it is just semantics (that may not be the right word) but, and no disrespect intended, do you Trump supporters consider yourself "his people"

And if you do consider yourself "his people" were you Obama's as well?

It just seems dictorship to me.

Another little side topic, I hear a lot of the word "regime" thrown out there. What constitutes a "regime"?

It was a joke for crying out loud. An obvious joke at that. The POTUS is a lot of things, boisterous, loud, egotistical, pompous, and several more I am sure I missed. If people can't grasp something else to harp on then there is nothing, but POTUS provides more than enough. And for the record it was an obvious JOKE

I felt the same way when Obama used all those EOs to circumvent Congress.

As an elected federal official we are their people, just as they are our elected official. However, that dosn't mean we have to agree with everything they say/do.

And it dosn't mean we are not their employer.

It wasn't a joke. I saw the whole interview. It was not a joking moment because they were talking about Kim killing his people and it was a pretty serious conversation. Trump talking about how strong Kim is.
I heard the whitehouse company line already but it was not a joke.

So ... you're upset with Trump's EOs too, right?

Disagree.

We are The People. The politicians work for us.

(At least in theory.)

It's a pattern of behavior.

He likes that Xi Jinping was made President for Life.

"Maybe we'll have to try something like that sometime."

Really? what makes you say that?...

Is it that bad of a thing to say that you must claim it was a joke? I mean that Kathy griffin thing was a joke too wasn't it?

Isn't Trump doing the same?

Look, I hate Obama as much as I hate Trump, as much as I hate every president past present and future, there are countless things you can critique Obama about, but, it gets hypocritical when you turn a blind eye to the same actions just because you support that narrative

Usually, a dictator is an authoritarian who seizes power by force, suppresses dissent, and gives himself absolute power.
